His Obsession

Chapter 17

Xavier

"What's taking so long?!" I ask my men, it's already been an hour since they followed her. "We heard a gunshot, they're checking it out" One of them says, I don't pay attention who spoke, neither do I care.

"Hurry the fuck up and bring her home, unharmed!" I say in a warning tone. "Leave!" I tell them and they all hurry to leave my office at once.

The dead girl on the floor after she failed to please me and get my mind of my little angel. Someone can clean this up later.

"If you refuse my men to come, then I will just have to get you myself" I speak to myself about that troublemaker. Taking my gun with only four bullets now in the chamber, I exit my office.

I'm coming Evangeline, and we'll be together forever, I'll make sure of it, I'm coming to get you and you will never leave my arms again.

Evangeline

Faint memories of Kathy talking about that man flash before my eyes, though I remember very little of that conversation. I know I should know this man, however my mind just doesn't figure it out.

In the distance I notice more men come, I guess more men to question, as I'm the one holding the gun and I will shoot anyone who dares to come close to me.

My hands don't even shake when I hold the gun at them and the dead guy still on the ground, uhh... dead. This isn't the first time I've shot out of a gun and killed someone without remorse and it certainly won't be the last time.

"Why am I here?" I ask them, my voice is low yet angry, some of them look even afraid of me, they should be. I can end them if I wanted.

No one of them answers, It only angers me. I know I only have four more bullets in this gun and I will use them will. "If no one speaks up, I will shoot and you can pray to god that it won't be you. I will kill each and every one of you to get what I want, so I ask again. Why am I here?" I ask.

My voice is darker than before and more scarier. Again none of them answers my question. Something cold hits the back of my head, a gun. "I can answer that" A familiar voice says.

Slowly I turn around, only to be met with something rather familiar to me. A gun pointed at my head and my eyes looking into his stone-cold dark blue eyes.
