He shows me around the mansion and it does look beautiful but a rose does too and it has thorns sharp enough to break skin and let blood flow.

My mind makes notes of how many guards are by the doors of the exit and how many people are in here and how many guns everyone has.

When escaping I must know these things. I've done this before so this isn't my first time doing this, and this isn't my first time with men who are trained to kill. What they don't know is that I'm also trained to murder.

A sly smirk curls its way on my lips as I think of the plan that is forming in my mind when I take a look at all the exits. He doesn't have a clue what I'm thinking of.

Xavier keeps talking about each room with passion and it's clear he's trying to get me to like this place but that will never happen.

I hold my injured hand with my other hand and ever so often I would take a look at it and I blame myself for it. I know for a fact that my hand will never be normal again after the bones were literally bent in odd shaped and sticking out.

I sigh as we enter the kitchen and there is a man sitting by the table eating something. "That is my second in command, he is my most trusted man and will do anything you ask him to but only if he gets a nod from me. Don't bother learning his name, it's not important" He tells me.

The man nods at him then he looks at me. I eye him and he did look rather unpleasant when he said that he does not want me to bother learning his name.

That does give me a wicked idea on how to get out of here. "I assume I can ask him for anything but it can't involve getting out of this beautiful place?" I ask with a fake smile plastered on my face.

Acting like I'm going to be happy here is something that I'm rather skilled at and I know what to do. Xavier nods his head before he gestures the man to come to me.

When he walks over to me he bows his head slightly down. "I want to know your name" I say with authority in my voice which he can't refuse.

I can hear Xavier growl behind me while I go to his second in command. My brother was a second in command to a man he served and he had great hatred towards him.

If this is the same, then I can get him on my side. "Alex" He answers with no emotion in his tone but his eyes tell me everything I need to know. "Nice to meet you, Alex, I'm Evangeline but you can call me Eva" I say as I smile at him. And Xavier continues to growl like the animal that he is.
