The Diamond Kingdom mage's power was overwhelmingly powerful. Without so much as lifting a finger, he could easily block, destroy and counter Klaus's attacks. With his mana draining after each attach, Klaus was forced to rethink his strategy.

"Yuno, go to the relic room," the older male ordered. "I'll hold him off."

Yuno's eyes widened in surprise at the command. "This guy is really good," he said calmly. "I don't think you'll be able to hold him off without back up."

"Just get going!" Klaus shouted. "Do you think I really want a slum rat like you on this mission? Just do your duty and serve this kingdom!"

Without any hesitation, Yuno sprinted for the relic room. Klaus turned the opposite way, preparing his grimoire to attack the Diamond mage, without realizing his foot had already been encased in crystal.

"Crap! He got me!" Klaus thought with panic.

Right before another attack landed on him, a familiar strong slash of wind released Klaus from his imprisonment. Angrily, he glared at Yuno, who disobeyed his order.

"Why the hell did you come back?! You know what you should be-"

"No," Yuno interrupted. His mind flashed back to a time when he was younger. He and Y/n were watching the stars on the hill in Hage.

"Hey Yuno, where do you think we came from?" Little Y/n asked, staring up at the sky. Yuno looked at her, his golden eyes shining with confusion. "The two of us arrived in the same basket, even though we weren't biologically siblings. Do you think there's a reason for that?"

"U-um... I'm not sure..." the young boy whispered. Sure, it always crossed his mind, but he never really fully thought about it. Lately though, it seemed like Y/n brought it up more and more. Asking more questions. Wanting more answers. "D-did... you want to find our birth parents?"

"Nope," Y/n said. She flashed him a smile. "Cause, my true family is the one that raised and loved me. The people of the church, and you of course!"

"We're teammates!" Yuno stated firmly. He wouldn't abandon his friends. Asta wouldn't and neither would Y/n.

A gentle freeze floated through the air. Birds chirped overhead as the sun beat down on her skin. Irritably, Y/n raised her arms to cover her face only to see small, child-like hands.

"These aren't my hands," Y/n thought.

She tried to turn, only to realize she couldn't, more like she didn't have the strength to physically sit up.

"This isn't my body... am I dreaming...?"

"Ah, Tsukiko-chan, did you have a good nap?" An unfamiliar voice asked. The face of a kind looking man appeared above her. He had short, messy platinum blond hair and gray eyes. Red marks, possibly paint, ran down from his eyebrows to his cheek.

To Y/n, the most unusual thing about him were his clothes and his ears. He wore free-flowing clothing, not what you'd typically see in the capital of the kingdom or really in Hage. It's like they were hand made.

And the man's ears were extremely long and pointy. Sure, Y/n's ears had a soft curved point, but his were different.

"Ah, my sweet little girl," the man said, picking Y/n up. "You never cry. I never would've figured you were up. Sometimes, I wonder if you even are a baby."
