11: still weak

Y/n sprinted through the dungeon, trying to conserve as much magic as she could. Her Castor and Pollux spell halved her mana supply to make sure both copies of herself had equal portions. She couldn't run out too quickly and jeopardize her life.

But casting the spell alone plus Intergalactic Jump and Constellation Map already took a lot out of her. Due to Captain Fuegoleon's intense training, Y/n had built up her mana capacity, but she still didn't have infinite magic. She needed to be cautious from here on.

Following her Constellation Map, Y/n drew closer to the Golden Dawn. Her duplicate was already nearing the Black Bulls.

Hang on you guys, she thought. I'm coming to help!

The mana in the air shifted. It felt familiar. Y/n smiled, recognizing Yuno's wind. She entered a new chamber, panting heavily from fatigue. There, the Golden Dawn members stood outside of the treasure room. An unknown man was present with them.

Y/n froze.

She didn't like the vibe the man was emanating.

Y/n-2 looked around in confusion at the black clouds of smoke that had suddenly begun accumulating. She couldn't see anything. And the clouds obscured her ability to sense the mana around her.

"This must be someone's spell," the clone said to herself. Y/n-2 covered her mouth as the smoke became thicker. "I'll suffocate if I don't act soon!"

Suddenly, she felt unknown mana behind her. Y/n-2 whirled around, her grimoire flipping open to attack.

"Celestial Magic: Ram's hellfire!" She sent a spiraling fire attack through the smoke. Instantly, a lightning attack canceled it out. A shout followed.

"Hot hot hot hot!"

"Asta?" Y/n-2 questioned. Covering her face, she walked into the smoke. A smile spread across her face as the familiar Ash blond came into view. He frantically patted his clothes that had caught on fire. "Asta! It is you!"

"Y/N!" Asta yelled loudly making her flinch. "WHY DID YOU ATTACK US?!"

"Sorry," Y/n nervously chuckled. "I didn't recognize the mana of your friend with the lightning magic. I thought he was the enemy."

"I can tell you're crazy strong!" The blond exclaimed excitedly. "We should fight some time."

"Luck, leave her alone," Noelle sighed, noticing the uncomfortable look on Y/n-2's face. "Anyway, the enemy is a mage from the diamond kingdom. He activated this smoke spell so we can barley see nor detect him."

Y/n-2 looked around. She pinpointed the enemy's mana pretty quickly, but if she were to attack, he'd only move. It seemed like Luck was thinking the same thing. Only a stealthy attack would potentially work.

Looking over at Asta who kept swiping at the smoke with sword, an idea suddenly struck her.

"Luck," she called. "Send several attacks toward the enemy's direction." Luck looked confused at first but did what she instructed.

Lightning form, thunderclap

Electric gauntlets encased his hands. He sent several lightning shots through the smoke in the general vicinity of where the enemy was hiding. Although none of the attacks hit, Luck continued to fire.
