A couple days later, Y/n was finally discharged. Still achy and sore, the doctor prescribed her a low dosage of pain medicine and advised her to walk each day to keep from becoming too stiff.
The first few days home, Fuegoleon forbade her from doing any form of training. After nearly a week, she felt well enough to partake in some things. But with Nala and Hoshi breathing down her back like paranoid mothers, Y/n couldn't get a single second of peace. She was more than happy to receive a letter from Yuno asking if she wanted to take a walk through town with him.
"What time will you be back? Are you sure you don't want someone to take you? At least bring Hoshi with you. Maybe you should-"
Angrily, Y/n punched Nala in the face, ceasing her rambling. She instantly regretted it, feeling pain flare in her abdomen, but the h/c haired girl wouldn't show it.
"I'll be fine," Y/n assured. "We'll be gone for a few hours. I'm just using one spell to transport myself there and Yuno will take me home. Now stop acting like an overprotective parent!"
"I just worry about you," Nala said, rubbing her face. "It was heartbreaking to see you like that."
Y/n sighed. "I promise I'll be fine. If anything happens, which it won't, Yuno will take me back to the hospital. Now, can I please spend time with my friend in peace?"
"...yeah..." Nala grumbled. Y/n grinned and gave her a quick hug.
"I'll see you later tonight!" With that, Y/n used intergalactic jump to transport to the towns square.
"Have fun on your date!" Nala called.
"It's not a damn date!"
Nala's laughter slowly faded away as Y/n's spell disappeared. The red head drove her crazy, but she meant well.
Y/n walked through the plaza to the fountain where she agreed to meet Yuno. It was a clear, sunny day, so lots of people were out, mingling about. After five minutes of waiting, the familiar raven haired male came into view.
"Hey! Yuno!" Y/n waved at the man as he approached her.
"Sorry I'm late. Did you wait long?"
"Nope!" Y/n assured with a smile.
The two idly chatted, well, Y/n did most of the talking, as they walked through town. Y/n learned that Yuno had unlocked spirit magic, but hasn't been able to summon it again since the dungeon. Also, he and Asta had met up with the Wizard King while she was in the hospital. However, when she pressed for details, Yuno gave very little.
"Man, you suck at storytelling," Y/n complained. "Asta would've been much more entertaining."
A brief look of annoyance flashed across Yuno's face but he quickly masked it with his typical stoic expression. "He said in order for me to become the Wizard King, I need to produce results. He said that's the only thing that counts and that someone who can't produce results doesn't deserve to be at the top."
Y/n nodded. "I see...well! Knowing you, I don't foresee you having any problems."
Yuno didn't say anything; A faint blush decorated his cheeks however the at Y/n's compliment. The two then fell into a comfortable silence. They walked through town, glancing through stores but not buying anything in particular.
Around seven, they headed to a restaurant for dinner. Although Y/n assured that she could pay for her own food, Yuno insisted on paying, going so far as to take the check to keep her from doing so.
"Yuno, come on. Let me pay for my part," Y/n said. "I ordered a lot."
"No."
Y/n sighed.
