Chapter 5

“Yes how may I help you sir?” Raven asked the gorgeous man she had ever laid eyes upon, and he’s scowling at her. Her voice quivered a little, for the first time she felt vulnerable.
    
“What the hell is this?” ang galit na tanong nito sa kanya.
    
Raven looked at the perfume bottle he was holding, she caught the name Naughty in it.
    
“That’s our best selling perfume sir” she answered.
    
The man snorted, “don’t play cute with me, because I have no time for it” ang sarkastikong sagot nito sa kanya.
    
“Cute was not our boutique’s motto” ang sagot ni Raven sa lalaki, na lalo pang ikinagalit ng mga mata nito sa kanya.
     
“Well I’m not a fortune teller, why don’t you tell it straight to my face” ang malumanay pero inis na ring sabi ni Raven.
    
Hindi muna ito nagsalita, kundi ipinakita nito ang likod ng box ng bote kung saan nakasulat ang expiration date. At nanlaki ang mga mata ni Raven nang makita ang date sa bote.
    
“Well now, did I render you speechless?” he mocked her, “talaga bang kalakaran na rito sa boutique mo ang magtinda ng mga expired na items?”
    
Raven looked around, at tiningnan niya kung may nakarinig sa sinabi ng lalaking kaharap, nagkataon pa naman na ang oras na iyun ay ang peak hours nila kaya maraming tao sa loob. And some of them were already looking at her and the handsome guy with a bad attitude.
    
“Will you keep your voice down” ang halos pabulong na sabi ni Raven.
    
The man crossed his arms across his chest and glared at her, “gusto mong hinaan ko ang boses ko? Eh muntik na akong mapahiya sa babaeng pagbibigyan ko niyang expired mong pabango, hindi mo ba alam na kasiraan ng hotel yang ginagawa mo?” ang galit na sabi nito sa kanya, “pwede kong ipasara ang boutique mo rito, miss?”

    
“Raven Santillan, can we please talk more privately?” Raven asked while smiling, ayaw niyang makakuha ng atensyon ang komprontasyon nila ng lalaking ito.
    
Then she saw his eyes moved from her face down to low neckline that was showing a lot of cleavage. For the first time in her life, she blushed.
    
“My place or mine?” he asked in a low tone of voice that made her stomach queasy.
    
“In my office please” she answered through clenched teeth.
    
“Well I’m not picky” ang sagot nito sa kanya.
    
“We’re going to talk in my officer SIR” ang mariing sagot ni Raven, and she motioned for him to follow her inside her small office.
     
She could feel his heated gaze on her exposed back of her dress. She wore this dress for Paolo, but she failed on her first attempt. Pero, mukhang nakuha niya ang atensyon ng lalaking ito. Maybe, hindi na ito magreklamo sa office ng Hotel? Kung maattract niya ito.
    
She opened the door for him at hinayaan niyang mauna itong pumasok sa loob bago siya sumunod at isinara ang pinto.
    
She motioned for him to have a seat but he declined so she also remained standing, ayaw niyang umupo at tumingala rito. She was already looking up to him, because he was so tall, much taller than Paolo.
    
“Mister?” she started.
    
“Just call ne Drake” ang simpleng sagot nito.
    
“Drake, I’m sorry sa nangyari, pero hindi namin gawain dito sa boutique ang magbenta ng expired na items. It’s just that, nagkaproblema ang manufacturer na pinagkukunan ko ng aming items, nagkabaligtad ang manufacturing date at expiration date sa mga boxes. I told my assistant na tanggalin ang mga ito sa display at ibalik sa aming manufacturer, but it  appears na may naiwan. Here let me replace that for you, if that’s what you want, or I am much obliged to offer you a refund” ang paliwanag ni Raven.
    
She saw him gnawed the insides of his cheeks that made her stomach quiver, and she suddenly felt breathless. My god, bakit ba ganito na lang ang dating sa kanya ng lalaking ito, she thought to herself.
    
“What can you say about this perfume?” ang unexpected question nito kay Raven.
    
“Yan ang best seller namin, have you sampled it already?” ang tanong ni Raven.
    
“No, inutusan ko lang ang secretary ko na bumili ng magandang panregalo sa isang babae, and she bought this” ang sagot nito sa kanya.
    
“Then your secretary has a good taste” ang sagot ni Raven, while she thought kung sinong babae ang pagbibigyan nito.
    
“Hayaan mong isample ko para sa iyo” ang sagot ni Raven, lumapit siya kay Drake and she extended her hand para kunin ang pabango.
    
Iniabot naman iyun sa kanya ni Drake. She opened the box at inilabas ang isang oval crystal cut bottle na perfume. She sprayed it on her wrist at inilapit ang kanyang kamay malapit sa ilong ni Drake.
    
He looked at her first, then he held her hand at inilapit sa ilong nito. His lips almost touched her wrists, and she could feel his warm breath. That made her tingle all over her body, she felt her nipples tightened and she breath faster, and the movement of her breast caught his attention, and she felt his warm gaze on her breasts, her nipples were already noticeable through the soft fabric of her dress. He smiled sexily at her.
    
“Ngayon alam ko na kung bakit best seller ang pabangong ito” he said in a low voice, then biglang binitawan nito ang kanyang kamay “sige papapalitan ko na lang ng panibago” ang sabi nito  sa kanya na para bang walang nangyari at mabilis na lumabas ng kanyang opisina.
    
Raven cleared her throat, “of course” ang tanging naisagot ni Raven at di niya alam kung narinig siya nito dahil mabilis itong lumabas ng kwarto at naiwan siyang nag -iisa sa loob.
