Chapter 6

It was early the morning and everyone was awake.
Nobody had heard a word from Maya and suddenly even Josh is walking in sircles.
Where can the fifteen year old be?
Is he ever going to see her alive again?
If anything happens to her not just his brother, his niece and Shawn but also he will blame himself.

"Stop wandering around. You're giving everyone a headache," Cory said.
"I should never have said anything," Josh said as he pulled his hands through his hair.
"What did you say?" Riley asked.
"That she should go mess up someone's life who's like she. I know it's bad," Josh said.
"I've told that to her many times. It's not that," Riley said.
"What? You've told her that before?" Josh asked.
"Yeah always actually. I physically make fun of her. It can't be that," Riley said.
"That's what I said. Besides if... No I said nothing else," Josh said.
"No I don't know how..."

A policeman then comes in through the door and immediately caughts everyone's attention.

"Joshua Matthews?"
"That's me. Is there something wrong?" Josh asked.
"Actually I am handling Maya's case. It was said that the young girl was found. She went to a police station close by."

Josh sigh as Riley embraces Lucas.
She was safe.
And that is more than Josh can ask for right now.

"Thank you officer. Should someone go and get her?" Josh asked.
"Yeah."
"Why don't you go? Looks like you have some stuff to sort out," Cory said.
"Riley?"
"It's okay. Go," Riley said.

Josh drove to the police station and saw Maya.
She was sitting aside while she looked at her feet.
She looked tensed but Josh was just glad that she was okay.
He nod to the police officer to tell him he has it from there.
He walks over to Maya and puts his hand on her shoulders.
She immediately sees Josh and embraces him.
She could barely control her emotions and immediately busted into tears.

"Shh. It's okay," Josh said trying to calm Maya down.
"It's okay."
