Chapter 8

Karinas POV

I was so furious with my mom I just needed to get out.

As all three of us get in Shawn's car, there is an awkward silence between all of us.

"Sorry guys I'm just so frustrated at my mom right now"

Maddie doesn't respond because she knows now much of a mother my mom is mad how angry I get when she comes home one day and decided to be a parent for once.

"I'm just surprised at your reaction" Shawn said as we drive to school.

"Yeah I just don't appreciate how my mom thinks she can just be a parent off and on like that"

"Hey I'm here for you" shawn said putting his right hand on my thigh

"You ready to face everyone?" maddie said as we pulled up to school

"No" I said "but you know fuck it" I said with a smile getting out of the car.

Me and shawn walked hand and hand into the gym with maddie behind us.

I could hear whispering and people where staring. Then I saw my friend Jenna. We are really close in school we just don't really talk outside kind of thing. As we made eye contact I dropped Shawn's and ams ran towards her as she ran to me.

"KARINA I HAVE MISSED YOU" Jenna said as she engulfed me in a hug.

"I missed you too" I said as shawn and maddie approached us. Jenna's face turned red.

"I see you've been busy this summer" she said as shawn put his arm around my waist.

"Oh yeah. Jenna this is shawn my boyfriend but I think you already knew that" I said motioning between Jenna and shawn

"Haha yeah I think eveyone knows. But it's an honor to meet you. After all these years obsessing over him." Jenna said laughing

"Ok ok he's heard enough" I said turning her around as we started to walk to get in line.

When I got my I.D. Card shawn snatched it out of my hands and since he was taller than me he held it over my head as he looked at it.

"Stapppp I look so bad" I said

"You look so cute!" he says handing the I.D. card to me

"No I dont" I said shoving the card in my back pocket.

"Oh no" maddie says tapping me on the shoulder "look who's coming our way"
She said pointing to the most popular and meanest girls in school making thier way over here.

"Hey babe it's ok" shawn said putting his hand around my waist. I was literally shaking. Maddie and Jenna just 'aw' at us.

"Oh wow I didn't expect such a big star to be a school registration" the leader of the group, violet said to me. with her backup Wantabee friends daisy and summer. U see why they are friends?

"Just leave us alone violet" I said to her

"Now that's no way to talk to your friend Karina. I just want to meet your" she pauses and looks at shawn head to toe "boyfriend"

"Hi I'm shawn" shawn says holding out his hand

"Well hello" she says shaking his hand

"OMG violet just shook Shawn Mendes hand " you could hear daisy whisper to summer. No wonder she is such a big fan of magcon.

"Well we will be In touch" violet said as she dropped a pieace of paper with her number on it into a pile of papers I hand in my hands. Then she walks right through us separating me and shawn as her clique followed behind.
