Chapter 28: LQ

General POV:

Today is Wednesday.. For Karylle, everything is the same in the office.. Same routine to everyone.. You can hear people chattering, the clicking sound of the keyboards and printer.. The smell of the ink due to the blueprints and the people pacing around the office..

It is 12:15 in the afternoon, and Karylle is still busy encoding some files in her computer.. Almost all the employees are out of the company, taking their lunch break..

Peter on the other hand is obviously restless.. He is strolling around inside the office and sometimes standing infront of the door trying to open it but suddenly backing off and pacing again around the room.. He is agitated and nervous at the same time.. Peter is truly disturbed since last night.. He is planning to finally confess his feelings to Karylle but he is so scared for the possible result of it..

He is dying to tell Karylle what he feels.. For the passed few days he tried to confirm his feelings for her and he end up positively inlove with her..

-Flashback-
Peter and Karylle are too busy creating a presentation on the office.. They had this very fussy client that rejected the first proposal that Peter presented.. This client gave them a time to come up on another proposal for 3 hours and present it..

Peter is so stress sitting on the couch inside his office while massaging his temples and can no longer think of an idea for his next presentation..

Peter: Urgh! Come on! Think Peter!! (Talking to himself and irritated)

K: Here! Take a break.. Cold can help you relax and probably will make you think properly later..

Karylle went in and lend him a cup of ice cream.. Peter snapped his head up and saw K smiling sweetly to him that caused his mood to calm.. Seeing her smile makes him happy.. Her presence makes his day lighter, as if no problem can tract and ruin him.. Karylle is his strength..
-End of flashback-

Peter sat on the couch, rubbing his hand on his face.. He is so nervous and has no idea how to tell Karylle his feelings.. He never felt it before and never had the idea that he will feel this way someday to a woman.. Even to men that he was with, he never felt this too much affection but to Karylle..

He tried to calm himself, collected a strength and confidence... He walked towards the door and hold the knob.. Before he twitch it and open, he heave a deep breath.... And when he opened the door, Peter's eyes narrowed and his eyebrows furrowed as he discerned a figure standing in front of Karylle..

K: P-Pete.. Ahmmnn.. Sir Jon is here to tal--- (Saw Peter on the door)

Peter: What are you doing here?!! (Throwing a glare to Jon)

Jon: Babe! We need to talk.. (Walking closer to Peter)

Jon tried to hug Peter but he shove him away.. Peter wandered a stare to the office and he noticed some eyes of the employees locked on their direction.. But he did not care about the employees, he is concern about what will Karylle think.. So, he gave a glance to K to see her reaction.. He saw care and worry on her face but she managed to give Peter a convincing smile telling him a "don't worry" message..

Peter: ....(Sighed)... Fine! Let's talk inside.. (Walk inside his office first)

Peter stood next to the window while looking at the city.. And Jon remained standing in front of the desk.. A few minutes of silence embracing the whole room.. Peter can't stand Jon's presence and his insensitivity of his fault.. How can he still stand and walk in front of him besides of his indiscretion..
