Amnesia

Chapter 23- Im Sorry Mike.

"Mike?" Jewel interrupted.

"Oh Im sorry, seems I came in the worst timing, Ill leave you both alone for a while."

Jewel slowly tried to walk away when,

"Its okay Jewel, I have to go." Isabel called her attention.

"Im, Im Sorry Mike, but this isn't working out, I, I cant be your best friend anymore, Im sorry." As Isabel whispered to me and she slowly left the canteen.

"What was that about Mike? Seems like a big problem to me, go talk to her, I know you really want to." Jewel told me.

"Are, are you sure Jewel?" I asked.

"Of course, just because Im your girlfriend now doesn't mean Ill be strict with you hanging out together with Isabel." Jewel explained.

"Thanks Princess, you're the best, Ill be right back, I love you!" As I quickly chased Isabel.

I ran around the school finding her, every block, corner, classroom, but I couldn't find her, it seems like she just disappeared.

Suddenly I saw shadow in the corner of my eye, I chased it, it went into the Waiting Area, there, I saw Isabel, crying, full of tears.

"Isabel.." I slowly approached.

She stopped crying, and looked at me straight in my eyes, and said,

"Im sorry Mike, but no matter what you do, Ill never be your bestfriend." She answered.

"Why? What is this all about?"

"Its just what I said earlier! I miss the old you Mike, and I know, Ill just be on your way between you and Jewel, I knew ever since that you still liked me even after you met Jewel, despite me already having a boyfriend, I, I still liked you Mike! And I miss the times whenever were always together, trying to find a way to fix your problem with Jewel, I wish I just didn't help you with that." She explained sobbing and crying.

"Sorry." I answered.

"Sorry?! I admitted everything and all I get was a sorr-."

I hugged Isabel and whispered,

"Just because Jewels my girlfriend now, it doesnt mean I forgot about you already, you're my best friend, my partner in crime,my.., my POOKIE! I should be lucky that I have a friend like you. A friend that understands."

"But I don't understa-." As I interrupted Isabel.

"No need to argue, Im sorry, lets go fix yourself, you look like a mess." As I handed her my handkerchief.

"There you guys are!" Jewel shouted.

"Oh hey Princess, Isabel and I-."

"Im sorry Mike! I cant do it." Isabel shouted and quickly left.

"Isabel!" I shouted.

"Mike, whats the problem all about? Tell me." Jewel asked.

"Isabel, Isabel misses the old me, the times when we were always goofing around, doing stupid things and other stuff." I explained.

"Oh I see, but why did she run away?"

"Becaus- I mean, I don't know."

"Oh, but are you guys friends now?" She added.

"I, I guess not.." I answered.

Jewel held my hand and told me,

"You two will get back together, I know you will, even after all I did to you, both of us are still friends, and to make to more believable is that, both of us are together now, I know you can do it Mike, you always find a way."

"Thanks Princess." As I kissed her forehead.

The next day I wanted to talk to Isabel, but seems like she was absent, I asked the closest friend she had rather than me, Rick,

"Rick, why is Isabel absent?" I asked.

"Didn't you know? Isabel is packing her bags to migrate in the U.S, I thought you were her best friend, why didn't she tell you?"

"She is, I mean, she was, thanks about that by the way Rick." I answered.

"Oh and Isabel wanted me to give this note to you." As Rick handed me the note.

I read it and it said,

"Mike, I know Ive been a pain in the ass yesterday, but I just wanted to tell you the real reason why I cant be your bestfriend anymore, I couldn't tell it to you face to face cause I know you might stop me, Im migrating, and I didn't want you to talk to me anymore because I know Jewel might think that you would spend more time on me in the phone talking if what Ive been up to here in the States and other stuff, and might ruin your relationship, Im sorry Mike, but Ill never forget about you, even Pete is going insane after knowing Im migrating, till we see each other again.
- Your best friend, Pookie."

Then it all sums it up.

Isabel didn't want to be my best friend anymore because she is going to migrate in the U.S, and she didn't want to get in between me and Jewels relationship because of our long distance communication, making Jewel think that I might spend more time on Isabel than her on the phone.

I need to find a way to at least make her happy before she leaves, 2 more days till she rides the plane, I need to make her feel important to me and that we had a great time together since we met, since she became my Best friend, my Pookie.

I kept thinking and thinking if who could help me, and I remembered,

"I know! I can get help from Jewel, she knows what to do."
