Chapter 33-Photograph

"Jewel, would you mar-"

"Hi guys." A familiar voice interrupted.

"Oh hey Vince." Jewel replied

It was Vince, my friend who interrupted me but it didn't matter, I guess Jewel wouldn't have answered my question.

"Whats rocking Vince?" I asked .

"Oh nothing, just wanted to ask if you guys wanna come over at my place this New Years eve? What do you say?" Vince requested.

"Sure why not? At least we can spend the last few hours before this year ends, who else is coming?" Jewel urged.

"The whole gang, me, Lex, Rick and the others, the whole house is almost ready for the New Year Party too, drinks, food and more stuff are ready, we just need to prepare it within a few days." Vince returned.

"Ok we'll both go." Jewel and I exclaimed.

"Okay guys, I better go tell the others, do me a favor, if you guys find the others tell them about the party okay? Vince recommended as he quickly left.

"Say Mike, didn't you wanna say something a while ago? Jewel requested.

"Oh I forgot what it was, sorry, I got too focused on the party that I forgot about it." I sarcastically answered.

"I see, will you celebrate New Years Eve with fireworks? My mom told me to pick up some before I get home." Jewel asked.

"Hmm, I cant really remember yet, but I guess we do?" I awkwardly answered.

"Good enough, come on, lets find some places where they sell fireworks." Jewel exclaimed while pulling me towards her.

We roamed the city finding the cheapest yet perfect fireworks, even though it was hella hot, we managed to find some which was awesome.

"Im tired Mike, carry me?" Jewel requested as she yawned.

"Sure, hand me the fireworks first, Ill hold them for you while I carry you." I answered.

Jewel handed me the fireworks, and she climbed behind me as I carried her around the street

It drew a lot of attention, people were staring at us, not in a bad way, but in a good way, smiles on their faces were growing as Jewel slowly went to sleep on my back.

We were walking back home but before going to our neighborhood, Jewel requested to go to the shady tree.

"Mike, could we go to the shady tree at the park, I know your tired of carrying me around and-"

"Its fine Jewel, go back to sleep, before you wake up, we'll already be at the shady tree." I interrupted.

"Ok Mike." As she went back to sleep.

We arrived at the shady tree and I gently put her down the tree and I sat down, I noticed that she wasn't comfortable on her position and to my surprise, she laid her head on my shoulder, her cute snore made me laugh deep inside.

We both rested under the shady tree, birds chirping, beautiful blue skies, it was damn perfect, all I needed was something to capture that moment.

I slowly took out my phone and kindly asked some people to take a photo of us under the shady tree, where the bright blue skies can be seen.

"Uhmm, mister? Can you take a picture of us? And uhmm, can you please capture the beautiful blue skies as well? I whispered.

"If course I can do that, don't you know Im an official photographer boy? Stand still Ill take the perfect picture for you couple." The man answered.

"Here you go boy, I hope you like it." As the man handed my phone.

"Its perfect sir, you truly are a good photographer." I exclaimed.

"What is Mike?" As Jewel slowly woke up after I shouted.

"Ohh, you woke her up boy, better leave you two lovebirds alone now, see ya." The man waved good bye,

"Go back to sleep princess, just a conversation with a random person." I explained.

"Oh I see, Im going to back to sleep okay?" Jewel asked.

"Okay."

I stared at my phone with the most perfect photograph, a photograph that can melt hearts, it was so beautiful.

But as I was supposed to lock my phone, I accidentally swiped the delete photo button.

"Shiit noo!"
