Chapter 30- Who is Isabel?

Its been an hour since Jewel and I slept under this shady tree, she was already awake and talking, I wanted to ask her what happened to Isabel, if where she was, but I didn't, I should ask her in the right time.

"Wake up Jewel, its getting dark, we better get home." As I whispered in her ears while watching the night sky filled with stars.

"Lets just watch the stars, I mean, look, it looks so beautiful." She replied.

"So are you, Jewel."

"Hmppff, there you go again Mike, funny as ever." She joked.

We stared at the stars for half an hour, lying under the tree, breezes were passing through us, and I noticed Jewel feeling cold, I took my jacket inside of my bag and gave it to her.

"Here Jewel, you seem like you feel cold, wear it, so you wont get cold." As I handed my jacket to her.

"I don't need a jacket, all I need is you." As she hugs me out of nowhere.

"This, feels great Jewel." I answered drastically.

"Its okay Mike, at least we don't feel cold anymore, and yeah you're right, its getting late, we better head home now." Jewel announced as she started to wear the jacket.

She looked pretty tired even after she already slept, so I tried carrying her by my back, the things couples do in movies.

I carried her from the park going to her house, she wasn't heavy at all, and it was fun running around while someone is riding by your back, it felt unforgettable.

"Goodbye Mike, see you tomorrow!" Jewel waved after kissing my cheek.

"Goodbye, oh and goodnight, sweet dreams my princess!" I replied back, making the neighbors seek what was going on outside, which was sorta weird.

I went home as well, exhausted, I sat down, took a bag of chips, and turned the Tv on, it's the same old song, so I turned it off and decided to lay down on bed.

"Isabel, Isabel, what ever happened to you? Was it my fault you're gone? Or are you just here and trying to avoid me, I don't know." I said to myself.

I took my old phone I used to use and checked out my past conversations, surprisingly, I didn't delete them, especially Isabel's, I read through everything but the topic didn't make sense because I didn't know what we were talking about.

So I hid the phone, fixed myself and went to sleep.

The next day I got up early to play some Basketball by the court near our house, cooked breakfast, took a bath, got dressed and went off running and dribbling the ball.

"I forgot how to play basketball, I wonder if Im still good at it." I told myself as I took a shot.

"Yes! I got the first shot. That was great."

"Hey Mike! How are you?" As two peculiar voices waved at me.

It was Vince and Lex, they were training for this years Basketball Contest in our area.

"Sorry, but seems like I was one of your friends before I-" As I was cut off by Vince.

"We know, after you hitting your head on the hood of a car, you started to forget." Vince explained.

"What? When was that? I don't remember Jewel telling me that." I asked.

"Before you started to forget, you rushed going to the airport to say goodbye to Isabel, as she was about to leave and migrate, you cried like a baby when that happened." He continued.

"How did you know about that?" I asked again.

"You were the hot topic that time in school, everybody knew about that, you were in the news as well, which was kinda funny." Lex answered this time.

I paused for a moment, then all of a sudden.

"I remember now! You guys are right, I did cry like a pussy that time, but at least I got to tell Isabel that she was special for me before she left." I shouted.

"Good for you, but bad luck for us, as you still don't remember us, we used to be gamer buddies." Both Vince and Lex said.

"Don't worry, by the time soon, I will remember everything, just sit put guys, and we'll be gamer buddies again, Ill buy you both RP if I can remember." I announced.

"Great." They both shouted.

We continued to play basketball for an hour and went back home after that, it was 9 am by the time I arrived back home, I saw Jewel by the street going to my house, I surprised her from behind,

"Booh!" I shouted while pinching her elbow.

"Ahh!" She shouted.

"Dammit Mike, you got me, I was about to piss my pants after that." She continued.

"Well, lets get inside, I better fix myself Im full of sweat."

We both got inside as she turned on the TV and I fixed myself up, I really wanted to ask her if she knows Isabel so I asked,

"Say Jewel, Uhmm." I grunted after I realized that I shouldn't ask her yet, which was not cool.

"What is it Mike?"

"Uhmm, do you want to go to the mall later?" I concluded so she wont wonder what I was really going to ask.

"Of course, why would you ask that! Thats like our hobby together." She answered.

"Great, by the way, next week is already Christmas, tell me what you're getting me please." I begged.

"Still a secret Mike, just wait till Christmas, its just by the corner." She explained.

"Okay fine." As I went up to get dressed.

We later went to the mall,

We were walking around, and to my surprise, I saw Pete again, he walked up to me and asked,

"Oh hey Mike, any news on Isabel in New York?" He asked.

Both Jewel and I paused and slowly looked at each other, I whispered,

"Who is Isabel?" Even knowing who she really was, but I wanted to know what Jewel would answer.
