Friday Dinners were one of my favorite things to do. Everyone always got together. This dinner was different though because Mike was busy with Hockey and Josh and Kane were in LA working on a project. Tuck and Jonah were cooking on the grill Jacob was helping them. Jase, Ryne, Ridge, and Isaiah were up in the studio attic that we built playing instruments. Rocky and Marissa were trying out new editing software on their computers. Maddie, Tae, Carrie, Hannah, Naomi, Jennifer, and I were in our lounge area.
"January 2nd can't come soon enough" Maddie says. "I want to get back on the road".
"I do too. Life is always better on the road" I say.
"Not always" Hannah adds. Her divorce went on while she was on tour, and she's always been kind of bitter about it.
"Hey, we've moved past that" I say.
"She's right. You're better off, and you know it" Naomi adds. She and Jennifer had more hate towards him than Hannah did.
"It doesn't matter what has happened before. What matters is what happens now. This is going to be the best tour yet if we make it that" I say.
"She's right. We've got our kids with us, we're traveling all across the world. This is what we were all meant to do, and we were meant to do it together" Carrie says.
"We're always going to be the Women of Wilder" Tae says.
"I'm glad that we're all family" Naomi says. We all smile.
"Family Forever" I say.

Dinner was always a blast. The mama's and daddies teased the kids about dating and we all talked about music.
"Ridge, how is your new song coming?" Tae asks. Ridge looked up at Tae with wide eyes. Ryne nudged her in the side and shook her head. "What?".
"What song?" Isaiah asks. He looked over at Ridge.
"Oh. Sorry" Tae says.
"It's fine" Ridge says. She turns to Isaiah. "I've been working on a new song to sing on the tour. Nothing special". Ridge lies. Isaiah believed her.
"Oh? Well babe, let me know if you need guitar on it" He says.
"I'm thinking mandolin and guitar" Ridge says.
"Call me next week and we'll work on mandolin some more" Hannah says. She was the one who taught Ridge how to play mandolin.
"I will" I say.
"I'm thinking that Ryne, Ridge, Jase, and Isaiah can do at least two songs a piece then we can get into our sets. Maybe just shorten them a little" I say.
"I think that's possible" Maddie says.
"Yeah. Just playing our most popular songs throughout the years" Naomi agrees.
"I think once Ridge figures out that new song, that will be one she wants to play a lot" I say. Tae smiles and agrees.
"It will be" Ridge says.
"I want to dedicate both of my songs to Ryne" Jase says. Ryne smiles.
"We'll see" Maddie says. Jase rolls his eyes.
"Babe" Jonah says and gives Maddie a look. She looked at Jase.
"We'll see if we can find the right ones to play" She says to him. He fakes a smile. It had gotten awkward after that.
"It's getting late, I'm gonna start cleaning up" Tuck says. "Rocky, Riss. Help me out". The girls clear the plates and follow him. Isaiah and Ridge went out walking and so did Ryne and Jase. Maddie and Jonah, Tae, Carrie and Mike, and Hannah, Naomi, and Jennifer all went home. Tuck and I always liked to sit out on the back porch and drink wine before we went to bed.
"You know, seventeen years ago, we were writing songs about each other and trying to make it out here" Tuck says. He was holding my hand.
"Yes, we were. We say it all the time, but now we got babies and everything. How did we end up here?" I ask.
"Hard work, dedication, by the grace of god" He says. I look at him and smile.
"No. I got here because of you" I say.
"You were meant to be here. I know that and you know that too. You were meant to have met Maddie and Tae. The Runaway June girls. Carrie. Everyone. Our girls were meant to be raised with their kids. Isaiah and Ridge are made to be together, so are Ryne and Jase. It's all falling into place, baby" He says.
"The girls are I were talking today and we think the best is yet to come. Thst this tour will be our greatest adventure" I say.
"And day with you is an adventure" He says.
"You ready for the next one?" I ask. He smiles.
"As long as you're with me" I say.
"I'm always with you, and I always will be".
