It had been a few weeks gone by since Sara and Leo had gone to contact Gideon about Rip. And they had yet to hear back of his whereabouts. This got Sara a little worried. Perhaps something happened to Rip. She tried not to show this worry when the girls were around. She didn't want them thinking something was wrong. As they once again managed to get an evening to themselves. One they hadn't gotten in awhile now, due to the girls being home again. Not being out at their friends as much. Leo decided to bring up the situation. Taking the advantage while their daughters were overnight at a friend's.
Since the evening wasn't so bad, the two of them were sitting outside in the front yard. Sitting on the porch bench.
"Are you doing okay?" Leo questioned once they got settled down on the porch bench. Sara's bloodlust managed to settle down again. Now that Leonard was back home more often, and Sara didn't have to worry about them drifting apart and losing him. Sara took a deep breath before responding. "It's been a few weeks with no word about Rip. I'm worried that something went wrong. I think he's been digging into this long before we have. And someone possibly found out he was onto them, and stopped him before he could get a hold of us."
Leonard remained quiet. He had been thinking the same thing, but didn't say so. Since he didn't want to worry Sara further. Leonard let his hand wrap around Sara's as she spoke her theory. "I'm worried something happened to the members on the waverider. I haven't heard from anyone at all. We haven't even had a visit from Mick. He usually has stopped by at least once a week to come see the girls. Even if they've been busy on missions. Mick still finds a way to make time to see Lisa and Abby."
As Leo listened to Sara's worries. He had thought that was strange as well. But he didn't voice it. Lisa had asked him a few times when Mick would come again for a visit since it'd been a few weeks. Leonard had told her Mick was busy with a job, but he would come and see her again when he could get off. Leonard didn't know yet that Lisa now knew about the waverider. After following Mick. But both had kept it a secret that Lisa learned about the information.
"I've been thinking the same thing." He responded quietly. He noticed Sara giving him a look. "Think we can figure out a way to contact Gideon? Find out what is going on?" Leonard shook his head. "I'm not sure. We could always take a trip to the time bureau. Sneak in and see if Rip is there. He could be undercover to keep an eye on things." He suggested. Sara shrugged her shoulders. "I'm not sure. That seems a bit too risky to do. If Rip is under cover and they see us chatting. They might get suspicious. And we don't have anyone to watch the girls."
"Abby is old enough now. I think she would be more than capable to watch her little sister." Leonard reminded Sara. Sara gave a small smile. "I know she is. But I'm worried about our enemies knowing where we are. I'm afraid if we leave either of them alone here too long. They will use them as bait to drag us in. Especially if whoever this is knows RIp's working for us.." Leo gave Sara's hand a gentle squeeze.
"I wish things could go back to being simple." Sara muttered when things had been quiet for awhile. Leo's hand was still wrapped around Sara's. "He glanced at sara, pulling her closer to him, wrapping his arms around her. "I know." Sara let out a small sigh as she rested her head on his shoulder. "I hoped that with us getting off the ship, no longer on these missions. We wouldn't have to deal with this. Since everything that happened last year. With the time bureau. Thinking you and Abby were anachronisms. I've done nothing but worry. I keep thinking that as soon as I leave, as soon as I turn my head. Someone will take you and the girls. That I'll lose you." She whispered.
Sara felt Leonard's arms tighten around her then felt him kiss the top of her head. "Hey.. I'm not going to let that happen." He muttered. "And neither will the legends. They'll let us know if something is going on. Just like they will get out of a mess if they're in trouble. Stein will let us know as soon as they know.." Sara closed her eyes as she felt Leo's hand running through her hair. Calming down somewhat. Whenever Sara got worried, or feared something. Her bloodlust still kicked in.
Leonard glanced down at Sara as she remained curled up in his arms on the porch bench. He also had been worried about where this was all going. He was most worried about Sara and his daughters. He didn't know who or what was after him. Which made him the most scared. Not knowing which of his enemies was after him. Because then they had the upper hand. Leo wouldn't know how to stop them until he met his assailant. He glanced down to see Sara's eyes closing as she started to drift off to sleep. He managed a small smile, his hand still running through her hair to keep her calm. "I love you, Sara." He whispered.
Sara smiled upon hearing Snart's words. Her eyes were closed, but she wasn't quite asleep yet. "I love you too." She whispered before drifting off to a peaceful sleep. Feeling safe in Leonard's arms. Something she hadn't done in a long time.
