Fury's POV

The Avengers bagged another set of villains for us to send to the raft. Why are we always cleaning the mess up? Those people think they have super powers, they can just use us?! Fuck no! But whatever...

"Alright Avengers. We'll send the rest of the Zodiacs packing. And well done, Spiderman, for smacking Scorpio into next year." Which earned a snicker from Tin Can after I quoted that Human Spider during the mission briefing. [Reference: AMAZING SPIDER-MAN WORLDWIDE]

Once everything was set, the Avenges prepared to go while I waited for them to depart.

"Where's Spiderman?" Obviously, they can't leave without all their members.

I started to look around, spotting him a few meters away. Stray animals of London surrounding him. Cats, dogs, mice, birds, any kind of animal you can think of that would live on the streets of London. The way he talks to them seems so soothing, just by watching him from a far.

"Yo! Spiderboi! Ready to go?" Legolas yelled, startling me from my thoughts. I turn to look at him with a straight face, only to see him smirking at me. Whatever...

Spiderman jumped in shock when he heard the Birdbrain and the animals around him ran off.

The Web-head looked down disappointedly, heaved an annoyed sigh, but got up and made his way to the Jet nonetheless.

Some of the best spies of S.H.I.E.L.D were commanded by me, obviously to go on a covert mission. The target is Ruby Hale. And because she's one of the most dangerous one, with her being fused with Gravitonium and all, I will be joining the mission.

Problem is, who's on God Green's Earth is going to look after this cutey flerken? He doesn't like anyone except me and that Skrull Mission Gang.

I raked my totally badass spy brain for anyone who would be a good enough candidate for Goose's caretaker.

Carol is off-world.

The Skrulls are still looking for a suitable home for the increased population.

Maria (Carol's friend) is on another mission with the air-force.

There's literally no one.

Why the fuck are they all gone when I need them?!

The last option is t bring this fluffy lil furball to the Avengers and hope nothing happens. Like getting the Avengers killed...

I walked towards the cute little alien cat and rub the back of his ears gently. He started to purr as I continue to rub it, with a bit more force and the flerken let out a tiny cat-moan. "Hey, my cute little thing. You're gonna stay with the Avengers while I'm gone and you're gonna show them who's boss, alright? Just don't kill anyone or take anyone's eyes out, okay? Maybe Stark's and Barton's but no one else..." I cooed and kiss the top of its head and got back up.

I prepared everything Goose would need in a Hello Kitty basket with the S.H.I.E.L.D logo on it, obviously.
