"Mashallah, you're both so beautiful." one of Zahra's relatives said.

"Jazakallah Aunty," Zahra and I said at the same time.

The Aunty walked off the stage after congratulating us. Zahra and I sat on the stage with a smile on our faces greeting what felt like thousands of women- who half we didn't recognize.

"God, we get it-yayy good for us. If I don't see Omar in the next ten minutes I'm walking out." Zahra grumbled.

"Stop it." I chuckled.

But she was right, I was tapping my foot rapidly trying to make time pass faster. I just got married, and I haven't even seen what Dr. Khan looked like yet. Not one second had gone by where I was fantasizing about him.

"Finally," Zahra whispered.

I looked up and followed her gaze to the three of the families leaving.

"Oh, Thank god," I said.

"Eager much," Zahra smirked.

"You started it!" I gaped at her.

"Hey, Haniah's awake!" Zahra pointed out.

That, that I could wait for.

I saw Aunty walk towards the stage with Haniah in her arms- and I pouted at Haniah. She wore an adorable red garara with a white bow on her head.

"Asalam Walikum," I cooed at her.

Haniah stared at me for a bit, before Aunty handed her to me as I stretched my hands out to her. Haniah began staring at my necklace, trying to grip it as I let her. Taking in her cuteness, I smiled at her constantly. Until suddenly she grasped my necklace and pulled it as I let out an "EEE".

Which she found amusing, showing me her gums and smiling. She tried pulling it again and I did the same sound- as she laughed harder each time.

"Huda, stop making her laugh. She looks too cute." Zahra said nudging me.

The next twenty minutes passed by so quickly as I played with Haniah, bouncing her on my lap, letting her play with my earings, Zahra putting her dupatta on Haniah's head making her look like a mini dulhan, and me finding dumb ways to make Haniah laugh.

"Mashallah, she's been so cranky lately," Aunty said coming back from saying goodbye, to all the guests that had now left.

"Zahra, you can go to the men's side to meet Omar for pictures, Humza's coming here." Zahra's Ammi came to her, with Zahra's shawl.

Humza's coming here.

I gulped, as the moment I had been waiting for all along made me the most nervous. Haniah was still on my lap, playing with my finger fascinated by the ring.

Ammi came to the stage and fixed my dupatta a little, whispering 'he's coming.' While smiling at me.

"Asalam Alaikum," I heard his voice, as he greeted Ammi.

"Haniah, why don't come here for a quick second," Aunty said, picking Haniah up. As Haniah left it was just me on the stage, I looked down fiddling with my fingers.

Then I looked up, and I met his eyes. As he smiled at me. I stared at him falling for him even more, he had never looked more handsome. Maybe it was the light or simply the fact that I was looking at my husband that stirred something so pleasant in me.

He walked up to the stage and took a seat next to me, his scent filling my nose charmingly making me feel like jelly.

"Asalam Alaikum," He whispered.
