"Hey, wake up. Shower for fajr."I whined as I turned to my left, pulling the blanket over my head.
"Huda, wake up, come on." Humza pulled me to his chest.
"Five more minutes," I mumbled.
"There isn't enough time darling," He said putting my hair behind my ear.
"I can't get up," I muttered, feeling the soreness.
I felt him sit up as he put his hands under my knees, effortlessly carrying me.
"Let's shower," He said, kissing my cheek as he put me on the sink counter.
I let my head fall to his shoulder out of my drowsiness.
"How are you so awake?" I asked
"I'm used to it, Haniah wakes up naturally around fajr." He said.
I sat up straight, realizing Haniah might be getting up soon.
"Then she's probably about to get up, let's hurry and shower," I said getting off the sink, as my legs ached.
"Ow," I winced.
"I'm sorry," Humza chuckled.
I glared at him, as we got into the shower.

I turned my head to my right and finished my prayer, doing my Tasbeeh on my hand. Once I finished I took my Quran and began to read sitting down on the bead.
I was moving side to side slowly as I heard a knock on the door followed by a cry.
Haniah.
I quickly got up and went to answer.
"What happened?" I asked, seeing a sobbing Haniah in Aunty's arms.
"I was praying farz, as she got up and began crying. I picked her up and she still won't stop."
I took Haniah from Aunty's arms and tried bouncing her a little bit- and it didn't work.
"I'm going to pray Sunnat real quick," Aunty said.
I nodded at her as I tried to soothe Haniah. I sat down on the bed and opened my Quran, holding the book in one hand, and Haniah in the other.
I began to recite audibly while swaying with Haniah, and soon her cries became sorrowless sniffs. I put the Quran down and recited the rest of Surah-Baqarah from memory as I caressed Haniah's soft hair.
The security system chimed, signaling that Humza and Uncle were back home from the Masjid. I cradled Haniah in my arms, who was now sound asleep looking the most adorable any baby could look.
"Mashallah," Aunty said looking at us.
I smiled at her.
"Shaheen!" Uncle called.
Aunty left the room as I felt my own eyes droop as I leaned against the headboard holding her closer to my chest. The door opened and closed and I opened my eyes to a grinning Humza.
"What?" I asked squinting one eye open, out of sleepiness.
He shook his head as he came over to me and kissed my forehead, and then Haniah's cheek.
"Does she sleep in the crib fine?" I asked.
"Yeah, she does." He said sitting down on the bed.
I got up and walked around to his side of the bed where the crib was set, gently putting Haniah inside.
