Twenty-Five

"OH MY FREAKING GOD" Beth screams as I'm climbing out of the jeep at the first apartment she also tries to hug me but I step back which throws her off "What's wrong?"

"Hugs hurt. I got in a fight with Anne. But whatever are you ready to look at this place again?" I ask taking out my phone and answering the text I had from Garrett

"Yes! This is the like 2nd place on the list. It is nice but the rent is super high for no reason. I wanted to show it to you but personally, I like any of the other places better" Beth explains as we walk in the doors this apartment is currently being built, it is in its finishing stages now I believe so it is very new.

"Hi welcome to Latitude, can I help you?" The girl behind the desk asks

"We would like to take a tour of your 2 and 3 bedroom apartments if possible," I say

"Would you have a 3rd person joining you two? Since we do charge rent by the room and not the apartment you would have to have another person in order to get a 3 bedroom"

"Maybe. It depends on how we like it." I say trying to hide my attitude but kind of failing.

"Okay," The girl says rolling her eyes "But anyways my name is Leah and I'll be taking you on the tour. Please watch your step, since this is still an active construction site we cannot guarantee that the floors and everything will be perfectly safe" Leah tells us while she is grabbing some keys from behind the desk.

**Skipping the tour at the apartment**

"I mean that is nice, but I'd rather go look somewhere else before signing anything," I tell Beth while we are walking back to our cars

"Agreed. The next place is a two-bedroom condo" Beth tells me I nod and climb into my car to follow her to the next place we quickly get there and meet with the landlord. Making sure to apologize to the current tenants a million times, we would not have come if we knew people were currently living there, but the landlord told us to come by at that scheduled time.

"I prefer the apartment honestly. It was nice, modern, we would move out of our current place and straight into the new place which would be nice"

"Do you want to look at that house you were talking about?"

"Do you?" I question "I mean it would be nice and we could customize it how we wanted but with the apartment, we would have a set move-in date and would not have to worry about any potential delays that might come up with construction"

"I want to look at it., we might as well," Beth says shrugging I nod

"I'll follow you," I tell Beth as I climb back into my car. Once I am in my car a take a deep breath, all this climbing in about out of the car and walking around is starting to catch up to me. I haven't taken any pain medicine today and I regret it

To: Garrett🥰 - Okay I definitely need to take at least some Advil this weekend

To: Garrett🥰 - I wish this weekend was here already. I don't want to be here right now. Anne and Harry might just pop in and I don't want to see them right now...

From: Garrett🥰 - Why don't you want to see them?

To: Garrett🥰 - Oh yeah. So it is a long story I will tell you later I promise.

From: Garrett🥰 - Okay...

From: Garrett🥰 - I mean if you wanted to you could come up tomorrow morning or even tonight..... It is up to you though of course.

I read Garrett's message and I don't know what to say... It sounds like a really great idea but also I don't want to be in his way or be a bother.
