Twenty-Seven

Once I get out to my Jeep I put my backpack and pillow on the back seat, my purse in the passenger seat, my Yeti in the cup holder, and my water bottle on the passenger seat because it is too big for the cup holder. After climbing into the driver's seat and actually starting my car, not just the remote start, I take out my phone and text Garrett.

To: Garrett🥰 - Hey! Sorry it took so long for me to get ready but I am in the car now about to leave

To: Garrett🥰 - What is the address?

After pressing send, and Beth not being down here yet, I get my watch charger out of my purse and plug the USB of it into the car charger block I have, my watch battery is low so I plug it in and turn the alert volume all the way up before putting my watch down on the center console. I also plug my phone into the car so that my Bluetooth is on. I go into my Spotify and try to decide on a playlist then laughing knowing I am just going to pick the Thomas Rhett playlist that I listen to basically on repeat. After pressing play on that Garrett answers my messages.

From: Garrett🥰 - No worries Beautiful I'll just share my location with you.

From: Garrett🥰 - If you wanted to you could call me once you are on the road?

I smile and press the start directions from his shared location, making sure it is switched to my car before going back to our conversation.

To: Garrett🥰 - Thanks handsome😘

To: Garrett🥰 - I'll call you once I get on the highway

From: Garrett🥰 - Sounds good! I am going to say this a lot more but Be careful beautiful😘

As I am reading his message I hear Beth open my back hatch.

"Sorry I was answering some texts since my phone was on the charger in my room. Do you need anything out of this bag?" She asks

"You're fine girly but um, yeah, can you bring me my bag of snacks?" I ask "Oh and can you put my blanket on the backseat and then move my backpack in the back hatch with the duffel? Pretty please?"

"Of course. Anything else?" Beth asks and I shake my head no. I listen to her get my bag of snacks out of my duffel then zip the bag back up and shut the hatch before walking around to my driver's door where I put my window down

"Thank you so much for literally everything." I smile thanking her grabbing the snacks and my apartment keys from her and putting them on the passenger seat.

"Of course. Be careful. Text me when you get there. And remember, I turned your locations off for Anne but it is up to you if you want to turn it off for Harry or not. But all of your Snapchat locations are still on. I turned your location on for me and it MUST stay on for me the entire time you are there or else I am coming to find you. Also if I text you I expect a reply within 30 minutes or I am coming to find you. If I call you, you have to answer no exceptions. Got it?" she tells me and I laugh nodding along

"Got it. Now can I go?" I ask she nods

"Bye girly," She says as I shut my car window I smile turning the volume up on my music and backing out of the spot. Once I am out of my apartment complex I call Garrett

"Hello beautiful" he answers after 2 rings

"Hi, Handsome" I answer back "What's up?" I ask

"I am just in between classes. When does your GPS say you will get here?"

"It says I'll get there at 6:30," I tell him looking at the time at the bottom of my car's screen. It is currently 3:15 and it says it is only a 2 hour and 40-minute drive which isn't too bad but I added extra time so that I can stop and fix my hair and makeup and just myself before actually getting there and meeting him
