To: Beth - which picture should I post then?

I press send before shutting my laptop since the class is about to end. My first class of the day is Algebra for calculus. And it was boring. It is super easy and I have the homework and online test for this week done already so I just sit there and mess around on my laptop or phone when the teacher lectures. And if he is not lecturing I am usually helping my assigned group members with the homework. Today was a lecture day so I was texting Beth on my laptop while deciding which pictures I for sure want on my Tinder account and figuring out what I want my bio to say. Somewhere along the way she decided that I need to post a new 'bomb selfie' (as she put it) on social media.

"And do not forget you have a test in class on Wednesday. So the study guide is due Wednesday night at 11 pm. Tomorrow in class will be a review day. So either bring questions or I will begin teaching new material." The teacher says over everyone packing up to leave class

"Can we meet up today? To work on and finish the study guide?" Maddie, a girl from my group, asks as we are all standing up getting ready to leave. The group has 4 people in it including myself. We were assigned these groups for some of the in-class assignments so that the teacher only had to grade one page from every group instead of 28 separate math assignments, especially since the homework is online.

"I'll be there anyways from like 2 on. So if anyone wants to come by they can." I tell the group while sliding my gloves on. I grab my phone as they talk amongst themselves, where my seat is I cannot get out of the row until they do, and see that Beth replied.

From: Beth - one where you look hot??

I roll my eyes at her reply

To: Beth - you know? I NEVER would have thought of that *insert eye roll emoji here*

To: Beth - I have sent you how many pictures? Pick one and pick a caption and I'll post it.

After hitting send I lock my phone and finally head out of the row. My group usually walks out of class together so we all make our way to the door and towards our next various classes.

"Okay, Kasey I didn't want to be rude and ask but are you okay?" Tommy, from my group, asks.

"What do you mean?" I play dumb.

"You're moving like you've just been in a fight and you're eye is bloodshot. It looks like you are trying to cover something up with a lot of makeup." Tommy says and I sigh "Plus you were extremely quiet in class today."

"Something like that." I tell him "And I am always quiet in class" I point out because I am. I never talk about myself unless Colin pissed me off and I needed to rant about it

"You didn't have a single story about your boyfriend. What happened?" Keith, the other guy in my group, asks.

"Leave her be. If she wanted to tell you she would." Maddie says

"No, it's fine. I had the absolute worst weekend ever. I got in a wreck and bruised my ribs pretty badly. I gave myself a black eye while twirling. And then to make everything better Colin and I broke up." I tell everyone

"Damn." Is all Keith and Tommy say. But I can tell Maddie didn't buy it.

"See you at the library later," Tommy says turning down a side path so he can get to his next class.

"Why did you guys break up?" Keith asks

"It's a long story. Maybe I'll tell you later." I say "I'm getting food, so see you at the library." I tell Maddie before walking off towards the student center doors. Since me and Maddie have class in buildings next to each other and I won't be walking all the way with her. Mostly because I don't want to explain myself. I walk through the doors and towards the Auntie Anne's Pretzels. While waiting in the short line I check my phone.
