"So you guys made up?" Killer asked.
You were sitting in the passenger seat and Kid was in the back, applying his lipstick, as Killer drove you to their main spot of operations.
"I thought you figured that out when you texted me Killer." You leaned back on the seat and closed your eyes. You were tired, plain and simple. You were used to being in bed by now, but you were going to have to start getting used to their schedule now.
"Just making sure, I never know with Kid."
"I get that, he's an emotional roller coaster."
"I am not!" Kid called from behind.
"Are to." You and Killer spoke in unison.
"Fuck off." He gave up quickly.
"So did he tell you everything?" Killer continued.
"As far as I know."
"I'm right here you know, you could just ask me Killer." Kid sounded like he was pouting almost.
"I don't get the chance to talk to (Y/n) much lately because of you, Kid."
Kid grumbled a bit, but didn't say anything else.
Killer looked at you through his hair before returning his attention to the road. "Jesus, Kid, you didn't have to chew up her whole neck."
"Did too, the boys won't think about even looking at her funny with those marks. They'll know who's girl she is."
You turned in your seat to glare at Kid. "I think it would've had the same effect with only one mark, thank you very much."
"You're welcome short stack." He kissed you lightly and then leaned back in his seat, giving you a wolfish grin.
"Shut up and put your seatbelt on." You were a little flustered, he was finally being more affectionate and it threw you off.
"Sure thing kitten."
"Why're you calling me that now?" You groaned.
"You didn't complain when I called you that earlier while we-"
"Okay, we get the picture Kid." Killer interrupted. "I don't want to hear about what went down when you were next door."
You sighed and relaxed into your seat again.
"You can close your eyes for a bit if you need to." Killer noticed how tired you were. "It'll be another 30 minutes or so before we get there."
"Thanks, I think I will." You dozed off as Kid and Killer talked softly for the rest of the ride.
----
"Hey, get up kitten."
You stretched and looked to the side. Kid was standing outside the truck and unbuckling you. "30 minutes isn't enough time."
"Nope, but you'll have to make it work. It's always a pain when you first try this weird ass sleep schedule."
You slid out of the truck and into his arms. "Why do you do it this way then?"
"It's hard to do most of our work in broad daylight, too many people watching."
You yawned. "Gotcha."
Kid hung an arm around your shoulders and walked you to the front of the building Killer parked at. "This isn't where everything happens, but it's where we organize stuff and work on some of the cars."
They were literally hidden in plain sight. "No shit? I swear I've come here at least once to get my oil changed." The building was a little mom and pop-esque car repair shop.
