Chapter 60

Binisita ko si kuya Jake sa company after working all night, we went inside the building but people can't see us. Invisible kami ngayon ni Jace.

Nasa harap na kami ngayon ng office ni kuya, buti na lang wala dito ngayon ang secretary nya. We became visible before I knocked on the door.

I opened the door slowly at sinilip sya sa luob. He looked so busy looking at his laptop.

"Excuse me."sabi ko with my male voice.

Oo, lalake pa rin ang boses ko ngayon, at babae ang boses ni Jace. Hindi kasi pwedeng itigil namin ang pag inom nun dahil baka may makakita sa amin at marinig ang boses namin.

Kuya Jake looked up because of the unfamiliar voice.

"Yes?"sagot nya naman.

Pumasok kaming dalawa ni Jace without asking for permission if we could come in. Napatayo naman agad si kuya while looking at us suspiciously.

Doon ko lang napansin ang shadow na nakasunod sa kanya. Why is it following him?

Nagkatinginan kami ni Jace.

Agad napatakbo si Jace papunta sa shadow and slashed it in half. At dahil sa kabiglaan, hindi agad nakapag react si kuya Jake.

Lumayo sya agad kay Jace at hawak-hawak nya ang laptop nya at ginawa itong shield.

"S-sino kayo? A-anong kailangan nyo sa akin?"kuya Jake

"Kuya, ako to, si Jackilyn."tinanggal ko yung tale sa buhok ko.

He looked at me pero may pagdududa pa rin sa mga mata nya. Tapos iba pa talaga ang boses ko ngayon.

"Jackilyn? Anong ginagawa mo dito? "kuya Jake.

Inayos nya ang sarili nya at binalik nya sa table nya ang laptop na hawak nya.

"Umupo muna kayo. Do you want coffee?"offer nya sa amin

"You know I don't drink coffee."

His face suddenly softened. Agad syang lumapit sa akin at niyakap ako.

"Kuya?"

"Ikaw nga!"kuya

"Ako nga ang alin?"naguguluhan ako sa actions at sinasabi nya.

Umupo sya sa tabi ko and told me everything. Someone came here, someone who looked like me, ka boses ko din. He pretended he never noticed that something's wrong. Sinabi ko raw that I won't be coming back, and that I really hated them pero tinago ko lang.

"It must be the shapeshifter."sabi ni Jace.

"Are you in trouble?"tanong ni kuya sa akin with that worried look on his face.

"It's nothing we can't handle. Don't worry kuya. At bumisita lang ako kasi namimiss na kita at sina ate Lizzy and mom and dad. Aaaand, I would like you to meet Jace."

"Nice to meet you Jace..."sabi nya kay Jace at agad na tumingin sa akin.

He held my hand and looked me in the eyes, "Jacky, I know wala akong magagawa that could help you, and everyday I worry about you. Maybe this is why they hid you here before to protect you. I don't have the ability to protect my one and only sister, so could you please promise me that you'll take care of your self? To be safe?"

It pains me looking at him like this, "Promise kuya."

"And Jace right?"kuya

Tumango lamang si Jace.

"Please take care of my sister. Keep her safe. Protect her."sabi ni kuya.

"I swear that I will protect her with my life."Jace
