45: What Happened to Tae?

"Jin! What are you— why did you just.."

"Kiss you? Because... I... well, we might get taken or something so I just... wanted to have a relationship before I die."

"Jin. You literally said not to think that way."

"Yeah but I also... like—"

"Excuse me," a man in a suit and hat said to them.

Jin and Namjoon eyed each other.

"You're quite early aren't you?" The man asked with a chuckle.

"So are you.." Jin said.

"I suppose. I wanted to make sure no cops were around so I wouldn't have to kill you two," he said as if it were a normal thing to say.

"Where's Taehyung?" Namjoon asked.

"Where's my money?" The man asked.

"Show us Taehyung first. This will be a fair exchange."

The man nodded. "Fine." He snapped his fingers and another man brought Tae.

"Tae!" Joon and Jin exclaimed simultaneously.

"The money first and I'll hand him over."

Joon threw the bag at the man's feet.

"Take them all," the man said and a couple more men came out of nowhere and grabbed them.

They tried to resist but couldn't. They didn't stand a chance.

"Let them go!!" Tae yelled as tears rolled down his cheeks. "I SAID LET THEM GO!" He yelled louder then sobbed. But of course, none of the men listened.

"You said we had a deal!" Namjoon shouted to the man.

He chuckled. "So childish to believe me. Take them away boys."

They tied their wrists and ankles together and took their phones as the sat helplessly in the back of the van.

Luckily the vehicle was loud enough when it drove so that they could whisper.

Tae was sniffling managed to say, "I'm sorry guys. I didn't know what they were going to do I swear."

"I-It's okay Tae..." Namjoon said with teary eyes. "You didn't know..."

"No it's not okay! I should've never took a walk at dusk by myself..." Tae said.

"Do you know where they're taking us Tae? And if there's a way out?" Jin asked.

"Y-yeah, they're taking us to our—I mean their mansion where they plan to sell us.... I don't see hope of escaping though. They'll just injure us badly for an escape attempt, then sell us like the idols before us..."

"What do you mean Tae? I've never heard of idols going missing..."

"Oh yes you have. Remember Wonho from Monsta X? Remember Woojin from Stray Kids?"

"But they left because of personal issues..."

"Fake. That's what they want you to believe... Even the companies are afraid to tell the dark truth about this..." Tae said.

Jin shivered. "I'm scared."

When they made it to the mansion the men brought them in the living room to explain what their new lives would be like.
