Bailey's P.O.V
.
Science was absolutely awful. Klara had told everyone to talk to me as a joke and I couldn't handle it, I could not handle it at all. The old, slightly deaf teacher had sat me next to the Tom boy and he was the only one who showed me any kindness, which I was very grateful for.
.
When break at long last rolled around I wasn't sure what to do, or where to go. I stood up from my seat and packed up my bag slowly on purpose, so I had more time to try and remember that map Klara showed me earlier.
.
"Hey, Bailey right?" Tom turned around to face me.
I nodded in response, unsure of where this was going.
.
"Do you want to come spend break with me? Not knowing anyone must be pretty intimidating." He smiled an award winning smile and I felt my cheeks become heated with a blush.
.
I nodded again, making eye contact this time, allowing myself to fall into his piercing hazel eyes.
.
"Meet me by locker 124 in two minutes." He smirked before leaving the empty classroom.
.
Okay Bailey, pull yourself together. Maybe the is your fresh start this time. Maybe here you'll actually talk to someone. This boy is good looking, to say the least, and for some reason he's being kind to you. Now where are these damn lockers?
.
I searched the corridors in a hurray, eventually coming across pale blue lockers filling the walls.
.
124 . . .
124
. . . 124!
.
I looked across from the locker to see Tom grinning towards me causing my cheeks to burn once more. He smoothly strode towards, me before leaning forward, causing my breathe to shorten.
.
"Close your eyes princess, I have a surprise for you." I felt his warm breath flutter in my ears.
I obliged immediately, letting my eyelids close tightly, awaiting whatever was coming next.
.
"Now!" He yelled, causing me to jump slightly at his sudden outburst.
Quickly after this, I felt as a cold rush of water splattered over my face, leaving my cheek stinging from the impact. I opened my eyes immediately to see Klara, Tom, and around ten other strangers grasping water balloons and snickering.
.
I barely had time to think, let alone move before another balloon attacked my shoulder, followed by another blow to my forearm. In no time I was absolutely soaked and everyone disappeared almost as quickly as they had arrived.
.
Warm, salty tears began to brim in my eyes as I trudged my way to the nearest ladies room. My hands clasped the bottom of my dripping t-shirt and I scrunched up the material, aiming to squeeze out at least some of the liquid into the sink.
.
I hadn't even spent a day here and I already had a new bully. So much for fresh starts.
.
The bell rang through my ears as I sighed and pulled open my bag to see I had maths. Brilliant, as if this day couldn't get worse. Maths was my nemesis, I'd never been any good at it, and as I became older it got more humiliating to the point I was a year eleven student, learning at a year seven level.

I glanced at the block I was in and desperately hoped neither Klara or Tom would be in my lesson.
