Bailey's P.O.V.
.
The end of the school day finally rolled around and I was waiting patiently outside the school gates for my bossy mother. The rest of the day hadn't gone too terribly, at lunch I stayed in the toilets to avoid everyone, and Klara and her friends weren't in the rest of my lessons.
.
They were however, walking past me now. I turned around subtly to face the wall, hoping she wouldn't notice me. To my relief, my dark brown hair melted in with the surrounding girls and I was left unseen.
.
I noticed that Calum boy walking along and entering a silver car that I had seen before. He hadn't been in any of my lessons either, but I kind of hoped he would be. I liked the fact that he didn't bombard me with questions, unlike so many of the others.
.
My mothers pristine grey land rover pulled up shortly after and I hurriedly walked over and sat myself inside.
.
"How was your first day Bailey?" Her same as ever bored tone questioned.
.
"Awful." I bluntly stated.
.
"Maybe if you just spoke to people like a normal teenage girl, it wouldn't be so bloody bad!" Her voice immediately raised in annoyance.
.
I faced away from her stern features and watched the outside turning different colours due to the heavy rain. As we pulled up to the street of our new home I caught a glimpse of Calum, and I realised he lived a street or two, down from me. That's were I had seen the silver car before.
.
We drove past too quickly for me to get a good look at him or his mother, and all too soon we pulled into our own driveway.
.
"You're going to have to make your dinner tonight, I'm going out. Do you know where everything is?" My mother questioned.
.
"I think so, where are you going?" I queried.
.
"Out. It's none of your business where I go." She scolded, never leaving the seat of her car.
.
"Bu-" I was cut of my her phone ringing and watched as she drove away. I was extremely content with the idea of having the house to myself for a while.
.
Calum's P.O.V.
.
The faint tapping of rain was all that could be heard throughout my otherwise silent household. Everyone was asleep, except me as usual. It is currently two in the morning and I am bored as hell.
.
I decided upon venturing downstairs and getting a glass of water simply so I'd have something to occupy me. I creeped down the stairs, cautious of my parents room being extremely close, and felt a chill shiver over me due to the cold wooden floor against my bare feet. Once I had my water I was still bored, what do I do now?
.
I slipped on my coat and quietly opened the front door. I still tiptoed around, despite being out of the house it felt too silent to trudge around obnoxiously. I climbed up the ladder I'd left out a few weeks ago and perched myself on top of our flat roofed garage.
.
I loved this time, so early in the morning that nobody was around except you. Nobody there to tease you or annoy you. Although nobody teased me today, for the first time in a very long time.
.
There was a new girl at school and rumour had it that she was like me. She didn't talk either. I felt awful for her when I saw her, I only saw her in maths because we were seated next to each other. I felt awful for her because the idiots at school would not leave her alone. The whole hour they were throwing things at her and whispering noticeably behind her back.
.
I wanted to say something to them, or even better say something to her, but I couldn't bring myself to do so. It infuriated me, our classmates doing that to her on her first day. Just because she was shy didn't mean she was a freak.
.
I of all people knew that.
