Bailey's P.O.V.
.
Here I am sat with one of the most good looking boys possibly ever, who's large hands are grasping onto a wet cloth and gently wiping my face, and all I can think about is my breath.
Does it smell? Can he smell my breath from there? Can he notice the strange pattern in my breathing?
.
His cheeks were burning crimson, but I was positive mine were too. We still hadn't spoken any more but at least now it was a comfortable silence. I shifted awkwardly, due to the uncomfortable nurse bed I was sat on, desperately scrubbing my favourite
t-shirt, hoping it wouldn't stain.
.
He took a deep breath signalling he was about to speak, beginning to fiddle with his thumbs.
.
"Are you okay?" He breathed out a little more confidently than any other previous exchange.
.
I wanted to be as confident as he seemed so I swallowed hard and opened my mouth to speak.
.
But nothing would come out. Nothing at all. I shut my lips then tried again, still nothing. I began getting frustrated with myself and I could feel hot tears brimming in my eyes and a lump clogging my throat. I tried one more time but failed again. I opened my blue eyes to see him waiting patiently for my answer.
.
At least he understood. I bit my lip hard and tried one more time, failing yet again. I gave up and nodded, annoyed and disappointed in myself for being so unable.
.
He smiled again and lifted his palm cautiously to rest on my upper arm.
.
"It's okay, take all the time you need." .
.
He had clearly become at ease with me now, which made me feel even worse, why couldn't I feel just as easy?
.
". . . I'm fine, thank you." I eventually pushed out.
.
He grinned immediately and removed his palm from my arm, leaving the skin cold from the loss of his body heat.
.
"Good. That's good. Unfortunately I don't think we're going to get this yogurt out, I'll have a look around to see if there's any spare clothes."
.
For a boy that never spoke, he was doing extraordinarily well which made me feel more comfortable.
.
"It's okay, It's last lesson anyway." I stated quietly.
.
"If you're sure?" His bushy dark eyebrow raised at me.
.
"Yeah, it's fine." A smile had formed across my face and I'm pretty sure I was still blushing.
As if by magic the bell rang throughout our ears and I collected my possessions in a hurry.
.
"Thanks again Calum." I smiled innocently before rushing out to find my mothers car.
