Calum's P.O.V.
.
My knuckles anxiously collided with Bailey's front door as I peered down at my belongings, making sure I had everything. Ever since Bailey agreed to this I'd been wandering over all the possible things that could go wrong and plotting ways to prevent them from occurring.
.
I was ready to knock again, thinking she hadn't heard it when the door swung open revealing Bailey standing before me in fluffy pyjamas. I chuckled softly at her childish nightwear which were covered in various funny faces.
.
"What? It's a movie night." She grinned. "Besides I think they're pretty hot."
.
I laughed at her as she admired her own pyjamas. Her hands reached out forwards and grabbed my bags off me.
.
"I can carry them." I attempted to retrieve my belongings but she swiped my hands away.
.
"Absolutely not! I'm the hostess here and you are my guest."
.
"Fine, fine. Where am I sleeping by the way?"
.
"It's up to you, there's the sofa, my bedroom floor, or I don't know wherever you want to sleep is fine with me."
.
"I'll take your floor." I opted instantly.
.
"Okay, you go and change into your pyjamas so I don't feel like such an idiot whilst I go and put these upstairs" Her arms raised as she jiggled the bags.
.
I took my pyjamas from one of the rucksacks and followed her into the downstairs bathroom to get changed.
.
~~~
.
"So what movies do you have?" I questioned once she returned.
.
"They're all over there, you pick and I'll get the pizza."
.
"Don't you want to help pick?" I asked worried we'd want to watch different things.
.
"No, I'll watch anything it's fine, but maybe avoid the horrors." She hinted before exiting the room once more.
.
~An hour later.~
.
The film was almost over and we were surrounded by empty pizza boxes and candy wrappers. I was hardly watching the film anymore, instead I watched as Bailey chuckled at each unfunny joke, I watched as she laughed when the characters said something cheesy or cliché, I watched her be happy and I loved every second of it.
.
She was like a drug that intoxicated me, I couldn't get enough of her, whenever I was with her desired to be closer, and whenever we were apart all I thought about was her. I couldn't find one floor in her which scared me. She so was unlike any girl I'd ever met, she was just so . . . different.
.
I am so much more confident now, I can speak to people, it's still minimal contact most of the time, though it is a start and it's all due to her.
.
"Calum, you're staring." She blushed lightly, throwing a piece of popcorn at me.
.
"Two can play that game." I avoided her first statement and attacked her with multiple pieces of popcorn.
.
"Okay, okay you win!" She squealed, raising her arms in surrender.
.
I chuckled and she smiled at me innocently.
.
"Hey, you see that picture?" She gestured to the wall behind me.
.
I averted my gaze to the wall, only to find it was bare, and in moments I was covered in the entire bowl of popcorn, and the bowl.
.
"That's it!" I laughed getting up and chasing her up the stairs.
.
I chased her all around the house before eventually catching up to her, wrapping my arms round her stomach as I did so and pulling her down to the ground with me.
.
"Gotcha." I smirked victoriously.
.
"Hey, I let you win." She defended.
.
~Midnight.~
.
I jolted upright at the sound of Baileys piercing screams. Rubbing my eyes from exhaustion, before figuring out the situation and scrambling out of my sleeping bag to her assistance.
.
I rushed over to her bed side to discover her cheeks drenched in tears, her forehead drenched in a dewy layer of sweat and her body squirming around, clearly in distress. In a rushed moment of panic I lept under the covers beside her, wrapping my arms protectively around her and trying desperately to soothe her.
.
When her eyelids failed to flutter open, I attempted to wake her up in other ways, I tickled her, because I knew when she was conscious she was extremely ticklish, hell, I even screamed at her to wake up, but eventually I discovered singing softly in her ear was the trick to tarring her away from these nightmares.
.
I sang any lullaby I could recite from singing to various cousins and babysitting jobs, her breathing calming down the entire time.
.
As soon as her blue eyes were revealed she blushed at how close I was to her, but smiled in relief to be away from her bad dream.
.
"Thank you." She sighed, breathlessly.
.
"Do you want me to er . . ." stay here?" I offered hopefully.
.
"If you don't mind, I'd love you too." She mumbled before drifting back to sleep almost in an instant.
