Bailey's P.O.V.
.
The grass was cold and wet between my toes but I didn't care. I had decided to go for a walk because nothing else seemed to be working.
.
Every night since mine and Calum's argument I had cried myself to sleep, followed by waking up hours later from an awful nightmare about something new.
.
I'd never intended for us to go this long without speaking, in fact, I'd never intended for us to go without speaking ever. I missed him so much but once news had spread to Eden about our small misunderstanding, he had only laughed and told me it worked great with our situation.
.
"This is perfect!" He had told me. "Now nobody can stop me from doing anything I want with you baby girl."
.
I shuddered at the memory of him forcing himself onto me, thankful that I had managed to escape once Klara had rang him, interrupting his attempt at undressing me completely.
.
I looked up from my bare feet to find I had ended up outside the park gate, probably because it's the only fun place around here, everything else is so plain and dull.
.
I pushed the yellow metal open with a creak and my pupils immediately found the large shadow hunched up in the corner.
.
They hadn't seemed to notice me yet so I crept over to get a better view, even though I already had a pretty good idea on who the dark figure was. I mean who else was up at this time?
.
I got so close to him that I could now clearly see all his features visibly, he however still hadn't noticed me and when I got so close that I could hear his heavy breathing, I realised that he was cursing to himself.
.
All the most awful words you could think of were flowing out of his perfect lips, his eyes fixated on a twig that he was continuously snapping viscously.
.
". . . Calum?" I whispered softly, causing him to jump so dramatically that he whacked his head on the railing behind him.
.
"Shit." He muttered, clutching onto his head, which was covered in an olive green beanie. "What are you doing here? I thought you didn't want anything to do with me?" He snapped, his tone full of sarcasm and bluntness.
.
He watched my every move nervously as I cautiously sat down opposite him.
.
"Couldn't sleep." I shrugged, unsure how to go about apologising.
.
"Eden couldn't help you?" He wasn't looking at me anymore, it was almost as if he couldn't let himself see my reaction to his spitefulness.
.
"Are you kidding me?" I spat, anger making my blood boil all over again.
.
"Isn't he your boyfriend? Why isn't he helping you?" He tormented further, a smirk could be heard in his voice but his face seemed pained.
.
"You're such a dick Calum." I growled, standing up all over again.
.
"And you're pathetic! Why can't you see that Eden isn't right for you?" His voice rose drastically for the first time that evening.
.
"You know what? Forget it. Forget we were ever even friends." I got up and started to leave, tears already spilling heavily.
.
As I left, a huge slam caused me to almost jump out of my skin in shock. followed by loud sobs coming from behind me. I span my head around to see his face in his hands and his shoulders shaking violently.
.
All my anger and all my annoyance just melted away. He was my best friend who I had ridiculously strong feelings for once more, and I forgot everything that had happened in the last few weeks, my only concern being Calum.
.
I ran back to where he was and sat down next to him, wrapping my arms around his shuddering body and attempting to calm him down.
.
"Hey . . . hey, come on now Calum, it's alright, ssh. You're alright."
.
His arms swung around me and clutched onto my body as if he would fall to a miserable death if he ever let go. His hot breath was panting into the crook of my neck and shoulder as the material covering the skin was beginning to become soaking wet.
.
"I'm sorry." He sobbed into my shoulder. "I'm so fucking sorry."
.
"I'm sorry too, let's just go back to normal okay? I miss you so, so much." I pulled back slightly so he would face me.
.
His glossy, beautiful brown eyes stared down at me, I couldn't help bit notice that even sitting down he still towered over my body.
.
We sat there for a while, just in each others arms. Thankful that the mean silence was over.
.
"I don't know why I acted like such an ass." He let out a small chuckle as his cheeks tinted rouge. "I was probably just jealous."
.
My heart rate quickened and my breath hitched in my throat. He didn't mean he was jealous of . . .
.
"Jealous of what, Cal?"
.
"Of Eden, it should of been me . . .
I'm- it, it was me. I'm the one who left you those letters Bailey, not him. He doesn't care about you like I do. I wish you could see that." His voice was so quiet, but I wasn't sure if that was because I could hear my heart beating in my ears.
.
"Y-y-you left me those letters?" I questioned, absolutely stunned.
.
He simply nodded and looked back down to his feet.
.
"I'm so sorry." He whispered again.
.
"I hate Eden." I blurted out, my head spinning from his sudden confession.
.
He looked up at me in confusion, one bushy eyebrow elevating up his forehead.
.
"He told me if I didn't do as he said then he was going to hurt you." I mumbled shyly.
.
"Wait, so. . . You never. . . I mean, you didn't like him, not at all?"
.
I shook my head softly.
.
"Not at all."
.
"That's the best thing you've ever told me." He grinned, wiping away any left over wetness from his cheeks, before reaching over and doing the same for me.
.
"Did you mean what you wrote in those letters?" I asked, the question practically leaping out of my throat.
.
A heavy blush invaded his skin, causing my stomach to flip upside down. He nodded gently before clearly deciding that wasn't enough.
"Don't look at me when I say this, okay?" He asked shyly.
.
I nodded before turning around so we were leaning against each other, back to back.
.
I felt his shoulders rise and fall heavily for a few moments, whilst listening to the sound of our peaceful breathing.
.
I heard him suck in one last deep breath before hearing his voice vibrate through my back.
.
"I'm crazy about you, Bailey. You're all I think about, like all the time and I love that. Because I love to think about you, I love thinking about your laugh and your smile, I love thinking about making you blush and daydreaming about all the stuff I wish we could do. I tried to meet you outside your locker, you have to believe me. I stood there watching you for so damn long trying to figure out exactly what to say, and then Eden swooped in and stole you from me. You have no idea how much that hurt Bailey, watching him with you and knowing that I could do everything he was doing but so much better."
.
He paused for a moment and I wasn't sure if he had finished, everything seemed to be spinning and my body felt like mush. He'd felt the same the whole time, and it felt amazing to hear.
.
"That's why I got so mad I guess. And I'm really sorry for that, especially now I know it wasn't even your choice. You're all I've ever wanted and more Bailey. You've got to believe that."
.
I sat there stunned, my stomach was jumping around and my head felt heavy and fuzzy. My skin was hot to touch from blushing so heavily because everything I'd felt, he'd felt too.
.
". . . Can you . . . Can you say something?" He begged after a while, his voice was croaky and scared. "Please, anything?"
.
". . . I like you too Calum, right from when we first became friends. I just, I never knew how to tell you."
.
I felt as he let out a relieved sigh.
.
"Can you face me now?" He whispered, barley audible.
.
We span round at the same time and he looked as red as I felt. He took a deep breath, letting his eyes stay closed a little longer when he blinked, before reaching out to take both my hands in his. My blue eyes fell into his brown ones and we just watched each other, for what felt like ages, but was probably only a few moments.
.
"You really like me too?" He smiled goofily.
.
I nodded my head gently and that was all it took for him to lean in slowly. Nothing else mattered as his lips pressed to mine softly like they had done all those nights ago, and this time with no interruptions. The kiss was anything but innocent.
.
His tongue grazed my lip, asking for entrance, to which I gladly allowed. his large hands were now wrapped around my waist, spread out over my back, pulling me closer and closer even though it wasn't even possible for us to be any closer.
.
I never wanted it to end but when it did our foreheads rested against each other, the sound of our heavy breathing was the only noise around.
.
"I really, really like you." He whispered, his face so close that I could feel his breath against my skin.
