Trigger Warning~ Torture, abuse, cutting

"Virgil, I have your next target." The young prince tensed slightly as he looked over to find his father standing there with this look in his eyes."I expect this one to be done quickly." Virgil already knew what this was about. "He can never meet the summit. Do you understand?"

"Of course, Father." The king smirked as he started to walk off not bothering to look back because he knew full well Virgil was following him. The two walked down the hall and Virgil couldn't ignore the way people seemed to avoid their gaze off him.

"Your target is the prince of that shitty kingdom Karvin." Virgil froze up noticing how several people ran the moment he stopped. His father did not pause at all for him. "I want that kingdom decimated Virgil." The prince only nodded as he continued on knowing exactly where they were heading. "I want him gone by Sunday."

"It'll be done, Father. I promise." The king froze up instantly turning around and slapping the boy across the face.

"Do not promise." Virgil didn't move. He didn't dare show that it hurt. He ignored the sting in his cheek as he forced down his tears. "Your word means nothing." If he showed pain... he showed weakness and that meant more punishments. "Prove you're worth my time with action." Virgil nodded silently as the king moved to reveal the basement door. "Now... Your Mother is waiting for you."

"Bu..." Virgil bit his tongue to hold back the complaint. It would do him no good.

"I expect you tasks to be down Virgil... and in a timely manner." Virgil one last time as his hand went to the handle. He knew he had to go down there. If he didn't walk down of his own accord they would only force him too and the punishments would be so much worse.

"As you wish father. If you can excuse me... I must attend to mother." The king smiled as he walked off leaving Virgil alone to deal with his troubling thoughts. His hands shook as he slowly turned the knob. He couldn't back out. If he did there would be hell to pay. At this point, he just had to get it over with. If he was lucky he would be able to get to his other tasks without to much pain later on. However, he knew his mother. Chances are that won't happen.

"Virgil?" The prince's blood froze over as he started to make his way down. He put on the bright smile that hid the hellraising fear the tore through him. "Virg... Oh. There you are." Virgil gulped spotting his mother standing there with her freshly cleaned apron and a bright smile. Her black gloves hug tight to her hands as he held a knife up beaming. "Took you long enough."

"I'm sorry for making you wait, mother. It was my own tardiness." Virgil's hands shook horribly as he moved towards those familiar chains. "Sure I should know better."

"You should, but you came none the less, that counts for something." Virgil's eyes widened a bit as his eyes darted to his mother for only a second. She was actually being somewhat nice. Virgil stood where he knew he was wanted from years of experience as his mother locked him into place. "Do be honest? Do you enjoy this?" Virgil frowned as he struggled to keep his voice from shaking. His mother smirked psychotic as she held the knife to his throat. "Answer me."

"No." Virgil winced as she brought the knife down his chest. "N-No... I do not like this but..." His mother raised a brow as she stopped moments from cutting him again. "What I like means nothing. I... I mean n-nothing." Virgil's eyes flashed as his mother actually genuinely smiled at him. "My only job is to please you and father. My only mission is to serve."

"You're such a good boy Virgil." Tears spilled from Virgil's eyes instantly making his mother paused for only a second. "Was it something I said?"

"I'm... I'm a good... boy?" His mother frowned as Virgil smiled a bit. "I... I made you happy?"

"Of course. When you know your place, you always make us happy. It's when you disappoint us that makes us angry." His mother cut him again across his stomach but Virgil didn't even feel it. He was to lost in the fact that for the first time ever his mother had given him praise.

"I'm glad." His mother froze up again as she narrowed her eyes at him.

"What did you say?" Virgil smiled slimly as he bowed his head a bit in submission.

"I'm glad to be of service... I'm happy to be of use, if it means you're happy."

"ROMAN!" Remus screamed out as their brother slowly slid down the wall with wide and terrified eyes. They didn't understand what was going on. One minute they were talking trying to figure out what their next move should be and then... Roman froze up. They had been walking down the hall and Roman froze up, started to shake and... and fell to the floor. "Roman talk to me." The prince's eyes were a bright and dangerous purple as he shook. Remus was trying to get his attention but it really wasn't working. "Roman, brother... breathe."

"V-Virgil." Remus's eyes went wide as Roman choked on his own words. "Virgil.... chains... it hurts."

"Roman, listen to me. Whatever you're seeing isn't real." Roman laughed as he gripped his hair tightly. "Roman..."

"They had him locked up, Remus. His own parents. They locked him up and t-tortured him. HIS OWN MOTHER! They h-hurt him... He didn't even care. He just l-let them... Just to make them happy." Remus frowned seeing the tears that spilled from Roman's eyes. The poor prince was struggling and this wasn't even the worst it could show him. "Remus... I want him back. I need him back. He helps me. He..." Roman broke down as he curled up into himself. "I love him so much. He's been through so much shit. I just want to make it all better."

"Roman you can't fix what's already happened." Remus brushed the hair out of their brother's face as the smiled sadly. "You can only hope to make the future brighter."
