"Ok... Maybe you were going easy on me." Roman choked out as he struggled to push himself up off the ground. His shield wavered from the energy drainage as he grimaced in pain. "I can't even see you move to dodge."

"You have an endless supply of energy to call on yet you waste your own." Remus frowned as they seemed to glitch only for Roman to cry out from the sudden impact of being hit on his side. He flew into the wall making Janus cringe and the lizard to get very restless. "Roman use your head."

"I don't want..." Roman gasped as he fell back to his knees, a sharp pain to his spine as Remus appeared behind him with a frown. "...to hurt anyone."

"You'll never learn control if you repress it. Haven't I taught you anything?"

"A good pain tolerance..." Roman laughed only for Remus to kick him and send him flying.

"There isn't time for jokes Roman. You're supposed to be getting married in several months. How can you face your dragon if you haven't made any progress in making things better? You'll only ever hurt Virgil, with the path you're going down. Doesn't he mean anything to you? Isn't he worth fighting for? NOTHING IS EVER GOING TO GET BETTER IF YOU DON'T TRY!" Remus brought his staff down only for it to freeze moments from Roman's face. Roman's eyes narrowed as they shined a dangerous purple and Remus couldn't stop the shiver they felt down their spine. 

"Don't E̷V̴E̶R̴ bring Virgil into this." And there it was, the first true honest glitch in Roman's voice. Janus stumbled back as memories hit him from all the times he's heard it from Virgil. The lizard... well he didn't look happy at all. In fact, if the lizard could feel anything towards the prince... right at that moment it was a pure worry. "Everything I've done was to protect him. Every choice... Every action..." Electricity sparked and arched around the man as he stood himself up and Remus gulp feeling a fear they haven't felt in a long while. Remus couldn't deny... Roman would've made a pretty powerful demon. "All I've done... WAS FOR HIM!" The light exploded at the sudden surge of energy making sparks cascade around them. "You can push and say all the shit you want with me but the moment you bring him up..." Roman's voice dropped to a growl as his pupils slitted, clearly calling on his rider abilities with an insane smirk. "I̶'̵l̴l̶ ̸f̷u̶c̵k̴i̶n̷g̶ ̶k̸i̷l̵l̴ ̸y̴o̴u̸.̵"

Roman vanished scaring the shit out of everyone only for a laugh to ring through the room. Remus tensed feeling their blood freeze over as they slowly looked up to find Roman hovering in the air. The prince tilted his head before thrusting his arms out sending a giant blast of energy to come crashing down and throwing himself back from the pressure.

Janus clung to the little lizard as it tried to claw itself free. The scene in front of them was... startling. Roman was flown back by the explosion only to use the energy from the momentum and kick himself off the wall speeding forward before spinning enough to kick Remus hard into a wall. The prince landed on his feet with this look of malice and insanity. 

"R-Ro..." Janus jumped as those purple eyes met his and he stumbled back. Roman just smirked and winked before turning his attention back to his sibling.

"F̶o̷r̸ ̴a̶ ̸D̵e̶m̸o̵n̶,̶ ̶y̷o̶u̴'̷r̵e̵ ̴w̶e̷a̶k̵ ̸a̷s̸ ̷s̴h̶i̵t̶.̴" Remus groaned as they pushed themself out of the wall with an angry look and cuts all over their face.

"Says the man who was helpless not 2 minutes ago. You've simply gotten a power-up." Remus faltered seeing Roman close his eyes. "Roman?"

"Y̴o̵u̸'̴r̸e̴ ̷g̷o̸i̶n̵g̷ ̶t̶o̷ ̴r̴e̶g̶r̴e̷t̸ ̵b̶r̸i̴n̷g̶i̶n̸g̴ ̶V̵i̶r̷g̶i̵l̸ ̵u̴p̴.̵" Purple smoke seeped into the air wrapping around the prince and Remus froze up. "Y̸o̸u̶ ̵n̴o̸ ̴l̶o̶n̵g̶e̴r̷ ̶t̵h̶e̸ ̶o̵n̷l̸y̸ ̵o̴n̶e̴ ̸w̷h̷o̵ ̸c̶a̶n̴ ̴c̷r̷e̸a̸t̸e̸ ̵t̶h̵i̷n̶g̴s̵.̴.̷.̸ ̶o̵r̵ ̶d̴i̶d̸ ̶y̵o̶u̸ ̶f̶o̶r̵g̴e̶t̵.̷"
