"I'm sorry what?" Logan cringed as Virgil's eyes shined a bright red. "The fuck you mean..."

"Language, kiddo." Virgil growled as Patton sighed sadly. "Sorry."

"What the fuck did you mean?" Janus frowned as he held Virgil's hand tightly. Virgil's eyes darted about unable to settle on anything as his panic started to rise up. "Please tell me I heard you wrong. Please tell me you didn't just say..."

"We're at war." A blast of hot air tore through the place as Virgil fell back against the couch. Logan frowned as he looked around at everyone. Remus sat there on the arm of the couch lost in thought. Janus was focused solely on keeping Virgil calm. Patton was giving him a supportive smile and Roman... Well, Logan really didn't know what was going on in his brother's head. "I know I should have informed you but..."

"WHY THE HELL WOULD YOU..." Virgil gasped as he pulled his knees into his chest making everyone tense up in concern. "Why? Didn't we JUST get over a war? We haven't even recovered. Who the hell?"

"It's because of us isn't it?" The room went completely silent as Remus slowly looked around. "It's because we're here."

"Remus..." Remus laughed as they shook their head. "It's not just you. I'm sorry. I didn't want this but... I refused to accept their terms." Virgil's eyes flashed as he met Logan's remorseful yet determined gaze.

"What were the terms?" Logan bit his lip before sighing.

"The immediate and total surrender of any and all demons we have... in our possession." The sound of a deep rumble brought everyone's attention to the man in the corner of the room. His eyes as purple as he chuckled. Roman smirked as he crossed his arms with this devious look in his eyes. 

"What... did they really think that would just happen? First off... they aren't possessions. Secondly... theres no FUCKING way I'm letting my sibling and my fiance get carted away like animals..."

"I don't think they were talking about Virgil, Roman." Roman's eyes went wide as Janus stood himself up. "My father's apart of this, isn't he?" Patton nodded making Janus laughed as his fingers twitched. "Of course. Of fucking course... that... that BITCH!" Remus jumped up pulling Jan in as they tried to calm him down. Roman just laughed as he rolled his eyes.

"Yeah, there's no way he wasn't talking about Virgil. However..." Roman groaned as he shook his head. "Thinking he was talking about you does also make sense. They need to get off our back."

"You're taking this a lot better than I thought you would, Roman." Roman laughed loudly shocking everyone as his eyes flashed dangerously. Logan paled as Roman pushed off the wall and stared at his hands.

"What's there to fret about, Bro?" Roman's eyes casually glanced about as his smile grew. "Some asshole kingdoms are joining forces to take those we care about away... as if they alone couldn't and haven't destroyed kingdoms on their own." Roman's eyes flashed as images branded his mind. "They won't get close enough to put a dent in this kingdom let alone take them away. I have nothing to fear about."

"Roman..."

"And if they do manage to get close... I'll kill them all." Virgil's eyes snapped up as Roman's eyes glossed over. "I̸'̷l̵l̵ ̵m̷a̸k̸e̷ ̷t̶h̶e̷m̸ ̵s̶c̶r̵e̴a̸m̷.̴ So don't worry about it, Lo. We've got a dragon, a basilisk, and a demon knight. What do they possibly have against that... not to mention they are literally going against every druid there is."

"That's... true." Logan frowned as Roman blinked the purple away. "It's just after last year..."

"Last year we were fighting against Deceit, without a single one of us truly understand who we all were. We were divided and distracted."

"We're still divided." Roman faltered as Virgil whispered slightly. 

"No... No, WE are divided." Roman frowned as he started to leave. "There's a difference."

"Roman, wait!" The door slammed shut making Virgil flinch badly. 

"Virgil... Go talk to him." Virgil laughed as he shook his head. Patton frowned as he tried to nudge Virgil forward only for the man to walk out as well. "Those to really just need to talk things out."

"I concur... Unfortunately, I do not believe we have the time for this." Logan sighed as he fixed his glasses. "We need to go over a plan. Just... let them work it out themselves."

"SHIT!" Roman slammed his door shut as his hands started to shake. "You just had to... right there... what if I had snapped... FUCKING SHIT!" Roman grabbed his lamp and sent it flying with electricity sparking off it like an electrical bomb. Roman deflated as he just laid back in bed with a frown. Images played through his mind. He wanted to scream, to punch something... to do something but more importantly. He just wanted to be with... Roman frowned as this soft knock sounded at his door.

"Roman?" Roman jumped up in shock feeling the constant anxious buzz in him burn with worry. His eyes started to tear up as the knocking sounded again. "H-Hey, Ro? Uh... C-Can we talk... or maybe... nevermind."

"Virgil, wait!" Roman whipped the door open to reveal Virgil about to leave. Roman grabbed his hand as his eyes went a bright purple. Virgil frowned as he slowly looked back meeting his gaze with narrowed eyes. "Don't... don't go."

"I'm sorry. I just... I thought you were mad at me." Roman smiled softly as he shook his head. Virgil's eyes filled with confusion as Roman just opened the door a little more letting the older in despite the obvious mess. "You... aren't mad?"

"At you? Of course not. At myself?" Roman's eyes darted the mess in the room and he sighed. "Well, I'm sure you can tell." Roman started to pick up all the broken nonsense as Virgil sat down on the bed. His eyes danced about the room before he sighed happily and laid back. Roman paused with a smile noticing how Virgil curled up on the blankets. "You sure look comfortable."

"I never thought I would miss a bed." Virgil laughed as held his hands out towards the other. "Stop stressing and come over here."

"Virgil, I..."

"We need to talk." Roman swallowed his anxiety as he sighed and set everything on his dresser. He slowly made his way overlaying down beside the other as Virgil took his hands in his. The two just laid there staring at each other wholeheartedly as Virgil smiled. "So... let's talk then."
