"Hey, Do you think..." Virgil was cut short suddenly by this massive explosion. So massive it sent jets of flame and rubble right for them. Virgil acted quickly shifting into a dragon wrapping himself around Remus, who created a dome around them to lessen the impact. They could hear the wall slowly crumbling away as Virgil shifted to cover the younger demon with his wing. When the wall finally turned to dust Virgil was left to shield against the smoldering ashen heat. Normally that wouldn't bother him as a demon of fire but the rumble hitting against his scales wasn't pleasant.

"Sorry!" A voice called out through the fire as it all suddenly got sucked all into a condensed ball before fizzling out into smoke. Virgil carefully uncurled shoot a glance over to see Roman standing on the mess of ruins a bright smile on his face, hands stuffed into his pockets. "I'm still getting the hang of it all. I may have gone overboard there." Roman hopped down on the burned and melted ground taking a deep breath and just relaxing. Yes the air was filled with smoke but Roman didn't seem to care in the slightest. Besides, he could smell his love and that's what he had focused on.

"Ro?" Virgil shifted back into a human and just stood there. He finally let himself take everything in as he tried to work through it all. Remus was just frozen in the the circle of nonmelted earth, unable to really move or even look up at their brother. "You're a demon?"

"Prince of Demon's, in fact." Virgil's eyes shot wide as Roman slowly made his way closer to him. "Just like you. Prince of Dragons..." Roman stopped directly in front of his love, eyes blazing like living flames. "I've missed you." Virgil smiled as he leaned against his mate feeling as Roman wrapped his arms around him. He actually felt the warmth in Roman's touch. Like proper warm and he sighed in content. "Sorry it took me so long. I had a fight with a thorn bush... and lost." Virgil giggled as Roman nuzzled into him. "That... that and a hellhound. I'm ok though."

"Was that what I felt?" Roman nodded as he sighed sadly.

"Yeah. It bit me on the leg. Thankfully someone was there to help burn it but... I'm sorry, Virgil. I didn't mean to scare you. He had a ward over his house that blocked magic. I... I couldn't feel you either. It.. It was numbed out. I didn't like it." Virgil hummed in understanding. He just didn't care anymore. All that mattered was him and his mate safe and together again.

"They thought you were dead." Roman chuckled as Virgil pressed further into him, listening to Roman's heart beat just to make sure his mind wasn't playing tricks on him. He knew he wasn't dead. He would have felt it. But... His anxiety just had to be certain. "They were so sure you were dead. They had proof. They..."

"Well... give a man a bloody sash and threaten his family with acts of torture that even Remus might shy away from and you'd be surprised at how couperative they'd be." Virgil frowned as Roman growled lightly. "Besides he had literally watched me comepletely decimate his entire group. I don't think he was going to try to cross me. Not unless he want to li..." Roman faltered as he groaned and pulled away making Virgil look up at him to see the slight annoyance on his face. "Sorry. That was bit... dark. I'm still getting used to everything. Demonic thoughts aren't exactly sunshine and rainbows."

"It's ok. I understand. I literally spent 200 years living with my insanity, Ro..."

"Speaking of which." Roman giggled as his eyes lit up. "No, voices." Virgil eyes filled with confusion as Roman beamed. "Virgil, the voices... the 'insanity'... I'm not hearing it anymore. It's still there obviously. But... I'm thinking it melted in with the rest of my demonic thoughts so its not as... loud. I don't hear it anymore. Who knew all I had to do was make a deal with the prince of demons."

"Wait, wait. Hold the fuck up!" Remus squeaked as they pouted and pointed over at the other. "How is this possible?"

"I uh..."

"We can sense it, Roman. We can sense him but... We don't understand how you are a demon now." Roman's eyes darkened as he looked away. Virgil could feel the guilt bubbling through the connection as Roman visibly deflated.

"I couldn't just let him die." Virgil smiled as Roman finally met his gaze again with this look of desperation. "He was dying... fading. He promised to help me and... I promised it back. He helped me. He... He wanted to protect you to. I just couldn't let him die. Not if I could do something about it." Roman glanced over at Remus who had this look of understanding in their eyes. "His name is Elvire. He's one of the few prince's the Demon's have. A salemander demon... hence the fire." Roman joked as before shrugging a bit. "He only wanted to protect his kind. He never even thought about finding a host. When he draining himself trying to help be... he got hurt trying to help me... I made a deal with him. I promised him a body so that he could live on and that I would use his magic to protect you and those of his kind from those who would want to hurt us. In return... he gave me the strength to do just that... and make it so my life is as long as yours." Virgil's eyes shot wide as Roman smiled even more. "I'm a demon, babe... I'm not dying anytime soon."

"That's nice an all but uh... WHERE'S Janus?!" Roman and Virgil burst out laughing as Remus jumped up highly angry.

"He's in the forest with Patton, who is know doubt on his way here, concidering he'd know about... uh.. well." Roman gestured to the ruins before chuckling a bit. "I might have to relearn some chill."

"Don't worry, Love." Virgil cood softly making Roman melt into him instantly, purring agaisnt him as Virgil traced shapes through his hair. "I can help with that."

"Good... Cuz, right now I literally don't know anything. It's just me in here babe." Roman spoke softly as Virgil felt his anxiety clear as day. "He gave me complete control. I... I don't have a clue what's going on." Virgil hummed softly letting Roman relax further into him, knowing the contact was helping to sooth him mind. "I just know... Before... I was angry. I was angry and I wanted to get to you. To protect you all. Now, I'm... kinda of running blind."

"I've got you... and I'm never leaving you again." Roman growled out as a responsed gripping the dragon as tight as he could, which was REALLY tight considering but it didn't bother Virgil at all. He felt safe in Roman's vice grip.

"Don't..." Roman's voice was dripping with intent as his demonic aura flared out. "D̵o̶n̷'̸t̶.̶.̶.̵ ̸N̸e̶v̷e̷r̷ ̴a̸g̴a̷i̴n̸.̵ ̷D̴o̷n̵'̶t̴ ̵e̶v̵e̷r̸ ̷l̵e̴a̷v̴e̶ ̸m̷e̸ ̸a̷g̵a̸i̴n̶.̶ ̵Please?"

"I gave you my world didn't I?" Roman nodded as he pulled away. He stepped back a bit summoning a bubble and making Virgil frown in confusion. That was until he saw what was in it, his eyes flashing red with pure rage.

"I saved it. I figured we could have someone redo it... without them and just... Well..." Roman let the bubble pop as he held up the painting of the Royal family of Roe. "Just you and Thomas this time. Then afterword you can burn this with the rest of that shitty castle of half crapped memories." Virgil just stared at the painted image of his little brother and Roman smiled feeling all the emotions Virgil was passing though the connection. "I thought it was about time that Thomas was memorized... with his REAL family. You know. Just you two."

"I love you so much, Roman."

(I'm going to end it here but don't worry they'll going to be an epilouge chapter to sort of... make it feel more final i guess? I'm sorry it's a crappy end.)
