There was some serious energy here. They could feel it. It surrounded the whole building like a giant beacon for power hunger creatures... like them. They could feel the energy pulsing about like a dull thrum to the back of the head. They actually found it confusing that no others followed the scent of such intoxicating energy. They found it odd that only they tried.
Actually, they did know why. Something was telling them this was far too strong... to potent... to real. There was too much energy here. Enough to make a devil crazy. They couldn't hold back the laugh as they stepped closer. Unlike their 'brethren' they didn't need energy to thrive. In fact, if they were to consume to much of it and not use it, it would make them very sick. They supposed that was do to their human half.
The demon quickly made their way inside brushing their fingertips over the walls shivering in excitement. There was so much energy in here. They could literally taste it. They made it to a door and stopped smiling wide and psychotically. There was an icy chill but the smell of fire still hung tight to it.
“Should we?” They whispered with a giggle as they pushed the door open. The first thing they spotted was the melted chains. The next was the bed that was too far from the chains to actually have been used. The smell of coffee and chocolate permeated through the place. Though it wasn't hard to notice two other scents. One was a bit stronger than the other but it was still highly masked by the Chocolate and coffee. The scent of paper and jam filled their senses as if they were sitting at the table reading a newspaper with a thing of crofters in front of them. That... That and rain.
It was odd because it mixed in with the sent of smoke and metal to the point where it was almost impossible to differentiate between them. Even still, they were skilled enough to pick up on it. The subtle sent of rain... the beginnings of a beautiful and chaotic storm. The scent although not that strong was still quiet intoxicating.
However... It was the sent of coffee that kept drawing their attention. There was something about it. Something hidden in the scent that drove them mad... er... madder. They stood there staring at the chains as their eyes began to glow an electrifying green. There was chocolate with a soft scent of roses. Crisp Paper and jam... The scent of an oncoming storm and smoke... Coffee... Coffee and...
Coffee and lavender. The demon let out a soft rumbling growl as they melted into the scent. The one thing they loved the most... was lavender. It was calming and nice. They loved it with a passion... and maybe it did… ehem... a little more to them and just relax them. Ok, it did a LOT more.
They needed to know where that scent came from. They were slowly falling back into their demonic urges as the scent wrapped around him. It wasn't just intoxicating. It was addicting. It pulled them in and held them captive aching for more.
They pressed even closer to the chains bending down only to see the red stain on them. The haunting metallic scent clung to them just as strong as the coffee and lavender making their blood begin to boil. They could feel the insanity that plagued the room. They could feel the pain. It burned within them as they stared off at nothing really... just the yellow figure in their vision that was huddled up it a broken ball.
Mr. Lavender coffee had been held captive here. They could feel his desperation and hopelessness. Just as strongly as Mr. Rosey chocolates insanity. Oh that one was strong. But... it felt weird. Like it wasn't his insanity. It was much to old... to strong... to... to broken. Mr. Rosey chocolates didn't give off nearly enough pain to have created such an insanity. No... that felt more like... Mr. Storm.
They were pissed and hungry... and not for food. They growled one last time as the scent of lavender tore at them. They didn't really understand why the smell was effecting them so much but it was and so was the knowledge that the man that gave off such a scent had suffered here. They wanted to bring it all down...
That way Mr. Lavender coffee could never be brought back here again.
They cracked their neck letting the demonic dark pulse of energy crack around them. They absorbed as much energy as they could as to not waste any of their own and frowned. They let their form shift and change with the surge of energy coursing within them. A sick and twisted grin formed on their lips as they slowly walked out stopping only when they got outside. They quickly spun round reveling in the power they had at the moment. They could literally do whatever they wanted. Anything their mind could think off... that's what being a demon of creativity was about. The darker part of the imaginations such as...
A giant green slimy tentacle sprouting from the dirt like a beanstalk jack would climb. They watched as it grew and grew like as if the kraken itself lived just below the dirt. They let out a light chuckle as the tentacle swung hard hitting the building with such force it practically turned to dust.
“Now, where were we... Ah yes. We should get to town.” It wasn't that far of a walk, not that they needed to worry. They never got tired. Not unless they were drained, but they never liked letting themself get that far.
Walking into town they got a sense of nostalgia. Its been so long they were surprised at how little had changed. How long had it been? 12 years? Maybe... to be totally honest they didn't even know there own age. It was hard to keep up with all the passing time when time didn't really matter much to them anymore.
As they walked further down the street a familiar scent hit them hard. A storm... Mr. Storm. They looked around only pausing as their eyes settled on a young man with white hair. The pain the raidiated of of him was so potent it would crush any lesser demon. Even more so, he radiated magic. Strong pure magic... Fire. That's what filled their mind. When they looked at that man he saw fire.
“Excuse us... me.” Mr. Storm turned eyes narrowed in anxious concern as they ran over with an awkward grin. “Sorry about stopping you so suddenly but w...I'm a bit lost.” As true as it was they also just wanted an excuse to get closer. The trauma they felt on this man was deadly. The magic was to such a degree if they weren't so strong and part human they would have turned to ash. Not to mention the distinct scent they immediately identified as dragon. And yet the man looked so anxious. Plus they couldn't block out the distinct scent of coffee and lavender. Whoever Mr. Storm he was recently in contact with Mr. Lavender coffee. He probably helped him escape considering both their scents where at the scene too. “I'm trying to get to castle.”
“Oh, uh... yeah I can help with that. Any reason why? They won't just let anyone in.” The demon laughed slightly as he shook his head.
“Oh it's nothing big, just a family reunion of sorts. It's been years.” Mr. Storm narrowed his red eyes before sighing and crossing his arms.
“The castle is in that direction.” The demon smiled as the man pointed off towards the woods. “There's a small path hidden slightly in the tree lines. I recommend you use that. It's far easier than the actual road, and far less crowded. If you do want the road though just head towards the bakery by first. You can't miss it. It's always congested.”
“Thank you so much.” Mr Storm smirked as he brushed his hair back.
“No prob, just wondering though. You said it's been years since you've seen your family?” They raised an eyebrow at the man as Mr. Storm glanced off seeming like he was remember something he didn't like. And by the dark emotional energy coming off of him, the demon assume they were correct. “Why now?”
“Simple... My brothers getting married!”
