Chapter sixty-four

Third pov:
Taehyung came out from the bathroom with only gray sweatpants on, rubbing a fluffy towel against his damp hair. Seeing his mate out on their bedroom balcony, staring up at the sky. Hoseok's eyes were glowing purple, as he started at the full moon. Taehyung came up behind him and hugged him from behind. Sticking his nose in the crook of his mates neck, hearing his mate mumble something. The alphas brows furrowed for what felt the millionth time that day. "What was that love?" "Let's have another pup... one or two more won't hurt... right?" Taehyung shrugged, "It's up to you, I remember you talking about wanting a big family when you were younger." Hoseok rolled his eyes and groaned, "The way you say that makes me feel too old to have pups now." Taehyung chuckled tugging his mate with him to bed. "Did the moon say something about having another pup or something?" Hoseok shrugged and smiled, his eyes shimmered a purple when he glanced back up at the full white and shimmery moon. "Something like that... lets just say it's elemental..." Taehyung broke out in laughter, pulling his mate closer, resting his hands on the slim waist. Hoseok hushed him and pulled him into a deep kiss. "Our kids are asleep, you wake them up and I swear you will sleep outside this winter." Taehyung scuffed, "Honey, our eldest twins are in college, three kids are somewhere in the forest, then the youngest sleep down stairs. When we moved houses I made sure the walls were thick." His mate gave him that look, that scary look telling him to shut up. Taehyung zipped his lips up immediately and watched his mate crawl into bed. He followed in after, spooning his mate from behind. Both falling into a deep sleep.

Deep in the woods, stood Sehun and Kai. The omega, with his arms crossed over his chest, surprisingly, still waiting patiently for the younger to speak. Sehun took a deep breath before finally speaking, "Kai, I did it to protect you... I woke up one day and started my rut and I locked myself in my room because I got scared of myself.... practicing my powers on my own while going through it because I lost control of them.... Once off my rut, my powers were as strong as my mother's and I couldn't risk hurting you... I just couldn't... it took me days and endless nights to make sure they were stable like my older brothers and sisters.... I swear, not a day went by without you on my mind, on my weakest days where I wanted to give up, you kept me going...and I know this shit sounds cheesy, but it's true..." Sehuns head dropped, his gaze finding the damp grass more appealing. Not hearing a word from the elder made some tears running down his cheeks, letting out a shaky breath and on the brink of sobbing. "Please.... please say something... I came here every night, hoping and wishing on the moons you would show up." The alpha sobbed out, as Kai held back his own tears. "When did you start showing up here? If your powers were so out of control, Hmm?" Sehun glanced up at the omega dead in the eye, "Nine months, sixteen days and eight hours. It took me nearly three years to control my powers, but now..." Sehun cupped his hands together and opened them slowly, a flower grew in the palm of his hand. Kai gasped, his hands covered his mouth, he never thought it was possible, but, he couldn't help but feel a wave of guilt and regretfllood through him. 'How I am still in love with you?... why do you still make me feel this way? These emotions are confusing me.... why do you haft to ruin my plans Sehun?!' Only for those words in his head broke his heart to shreds, knowing he has to find the Kim family's weakness. Kai let out a shaky breath and with a shaky hand, he took the small flower from the younger's palm. " I don't know if it still is, b-but I-I remember daisy's being your f-favorite flower..." Sehun stuttered. Kai lightly laughed and nod his head, "I-It still is..." Sehun slowly stood up with shaky legs, they both locked eyes. The alpha cupped the omegas cheek. Kai leaned into the touch with a sigh, "Kai... I will do whatever it takes to build your trust back... I know lost it, I-I broke a promise, I-I d-didn't even l-leave a-a note, n-not a single word... but I promise, I'm here for you, now and forever...." Sehuns voice kept breaking, unsteady from mixed emotions. Kai nod without thinking twice about the consequences.

And just as the alpha promised, they both met up every night, same spot by the waterfall. Starting slow like they did in the past.
As a few months past, Kai's summer heat grew closer. As he stood by his mother in the conference room. He heard his name in the distance, faint. "Kai... Kai!.... KAI!!!" The omega jolted back from his daydreaming, "Yes sir!!" Josh groaned in annoyance, "What's with you?! You keep zoning out?!" Chanyeol rubbed his sons back in soothing circles. His father glanced at his son worried, Kai's head dropped. "My apologies sir... my minds in a heat fog... my heat is close... I just thought of an idea to use it against the Kims." Josh then smirked, "I'm sure it's a wonderful plan too, would you mind telling me what it is?"
Kai took a deep breath before speaking.

That night, Kai was laying in Sehuns lap, deep in thought. The alpha grew concerned for the elder, running his fingers through the omegas hair. "What's on your mind love?" The familiar cheesy nickname always made the elders heart flutter, Kai simply shrugged as he gazed up at the alphas eyes. "My heats coming soon..." Sehun hummed, "Do you need a week off, I don't mind waiting for you." Kai shook his head and sat up, keeping eye contact with the alpha. Knowing it's not a good idea and it's not part of the plan that he made up earlier.
"No, I just..... could we do it every night until it comes, please... I want you to knot me this time though." The alphas face scrunched in confusion and worry, "Are you sure Kai? Are you ready to have pups?" Kai nod, but Sehun knew there was something else on the omegas mind. "Kai baby, what's wrong?" The omega sucked in a sharp breath, "I-It's just... I'm going through some problems at home, and I need something to keep my mind off of it... please Sehun...." The alpha sighed and nod his head, raking his fingers through his dark hair, not wanting to push the omega into explaining more. "Alright, whatever you want baby."
And hearing those words was a sigh of relief for the omega.
