She was in the street, looking up as she tried to convince herself she had made the right choice.

"He was bad for me," she thought again and again, but despite to believe her own thoughts, the good memories would come and erase all the bad ones.

And it hurt. It hurt so badly...

She was now on the crosswalk, in the middle of a big crowd, heading up to her office. Then, suddenly, she stopped walking.

"Why am I going there?" she asked herself.

The idea of a normal day felt so pointless.

"I don't even like my job..." she said to herself. Honestly, she knew it wasn't just that. Ava didn't want to see other people smiling and laughing around her. She just wanted to close herself in a dark room and cry.

Crying alone, away from all the eyes.

"I..." she started thinking about reasons to put herself together and keep walking. But she didn't really want to find any. She desperately wanted privacy which she barely had in her daily life. That was all.

Ava looked at the cars on the road, waiting for the people to finish crossing, while she looked at the driver's faces and wished for one of them would just press the gas pedal and run her over. Just end it all.

"Miss? Miss?" someone called her.

Ava looked around.

"You dropped something!" said the little girl calling for her.

"Oh, I did..." Ava answered, finally seeing the girl. First she noticed the beautiful dress she was wearing. Pink and white, making her look like a princess. Then she noticed her big, innocent eyes, and Ava remembered herself as a kid.

"You're right," Ava said, ignoring what she'd dropped that moment.

The girl picked up a watch and gave it to Ava.

"Here, your watch, miss."

Ava smiled and took the watch as she saw the girl being pushed away by her mom.

"You really are right..." she whispered.

A car started honking, making Ava turn around.

"I've lost all my hope in the future."
