"Let's get right into it. Where is the picture? Let's see if we missed something.", Phoebe asked, dragging Ava to her office, they needed some privacy foe their investigation.

Ava removed a drawer from her desk and after emptying it, turned it upside down and removed a small envelope taped to the underside of the drawer.

Phoebe giggled.

"All of that for hiding a picture? Are you afraid you're being watched or something?"

Ava just shrugged.

"I know, might seem silly to you, but the words that the old lady said to us "the others", remember?"

"Oh, that's what's been on your mind... But why would those "others" even care? You're just his ex. As far as I know, you guys even kept your relationship discreet..."

"I know, right? That's what I confronted Julien about."

"Oh, did you? And what did he tell you?"

"He said he didn't know what I was talking about. Maybe he was playing dumb... I don't know, Phoebe." Ava was getting upset by the memories of the discussion. "He was getting me on the edge."

"Ava... when did this happen?"

"Last night, after everybody had left the building... Or so I thought."

"That's odd, what was he doing here so late? I mean, he is supposed to just show up for the board meetings. He's a shareholder, not an employee, I thought he only had to be here when the board has stuff to decide, right?"

"I don't know, Phoebe, I didn't have the chance to find out anything after I freaked out on him."

"Did something else happen?", Phoebe insisted, by the shaken tone in Ava's voice.

"No, nothing happened..."

"Alright... So, let's see that picture of him."

Ava handed over the picture to Phoebe and it didn't take her long to notice what they had missed.

"Oh, but of course...", Phoebe set the picture down on the desk.

"What is it?"

"Sometimes, I wish I wasn't so quick to jump the gun..."

"What do you mean, Phoebe?"

"There, the building behind Julien. I think it deserves some further investigation. But Ava, I feel like you might not like what we'll find there..."

For a brief moment, Ava just stared at Phoebe's, while a sense of dread crept up her spine.
