Story Present Day - September 2076. Yes the whole living in the metro and sewers was taken from the Metro series, but I love those games and that concept a ton so I had to have something like it. Enjoy none the less!

*KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK*

Your eyes slowly open and you stare at the concrete ceiling of the metro station above your cot.

*KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK*

"Alright alright I am coming." You swing open the door and are greeted by Lena "Tracer" Oxton and Josh, your right hand man and now best friend.

"Morning love," Tracer says in a way too cheery tone for 4 in the morning, "Ready for the big day?"

You think to yourself then your eyes get wide. "Oh shit. Uh yeah when will they be here?"

"Haha do not worry buddy you still got about two hours until the drop ship arrives at 6." Josh tells you. "Get yourself ready and we will meet you at the staircase when it is almost time. Tracer blinks off and Josh follows here with a light jog yelling "Damnit Lena will you slow the hell down! I am gonna spill my coffee!"

You sit down on the cot and stare into the mirror. Four months of living in the sewers and metro had done a number on you. Constant attacks from Null Sector, going on scavenging runs, rescuing survivors, and many sleepless nights have made you feel like you aged years in the past month. You reflect on how you got into the current situation. After weeks of trying to contact Overwatch, Winston finally got a stable connection with you. The situation was bleak in Seattle. Null Sector occupied the city and hundreds of civilians were holding out in metro stations, sewers, basements, and any other building that they could.  The plan was simple. Overwatch was going to covertly send in drop ship with supplies, and leave with as many people as they could. Tracer had arrived almost two months ago to provide aid and you were happy to reunite with a close friend of yours after all of those years. The plan started off well enough, but soon Null Sector caught on and the number of evacs had to decrease. Food was low and the rouge omnics were basically knocking on your door. You and Tracer called upon Winston and told him that you needed one final, massive evacuation or else the situation would spiral out of control. After months of planning, it was decided that Overwatch's best would be sent to extract as many people out of the city as they could. You smile into the mirror and wonder if she will be there.

2 Hours Later

You arrive at the staircase and find Josh and Tracer chatting it up while waiting for you.

"Hiya love," Tracer says will a smile, "you ready for the big day?" she says poking your chest.

"Yeah I mean its great that they are going to be here and we are finally going to get these people out and to a safe and clean location" you respond while tightening the glove straps of your armor to make it fit snugly.

Tracer's eyes practically roll onto the floor.

"What?"

"Oh come on you know what I am talking about...after six years you will finally be reunited with her!"

"Oh my god Tracer stop." you say in a stern tone, "besides...I doubt she remembers who I am plus who knows if she will be here? And hell its been six years we were only able to communicate lightly over that time so you know..." you say trailing off.

The three of you start making your way up the stairs.

"Listen here love. Back in the day you two were inseparable. You two would do everything together! There is not a chance in hell that she has forgotten about you. Trust me. I know for a fact she has not. And don't worry, I have a feeling that she will be here today" she chuckles.
