Chapter 7: A Break from it All

Now the relationship begins and the adventures as a couple unfold. This chapter will be mainly fluff so enjoy that. Also, Kasbo is an artist I like and since he is from Gothenburg, Sweden so I thought it would be fitting that Brig would like his music. It is more of a chill dance music y'all may enjoy. Two weeks later

Sun crept through the window as you wake from your slumber. The clock reads 9:18 am as the strong smell of sausage, eggs, bacon, and pancakes fill your nose as you breath in deeply. You get up, stretch, and wander into the kitchen. You see Brigitte cooking breakfast with her back turned to you humming along to the chill music that fills the room. 

"This music is really good." you say leaning in the doorway, "What is the name of this song again?" She turns and smiles at you as she continues to work away at the feast that she is preparing for the both of you.

"It's "I Get You" by Kasbo. He is actually from Gothenburg too so I have been listening to him for a while now." she says as she turns and starts to put on a singing performance for you. You rewards her with a chuckle and stop her from embarrassing herself anymore by wrapping her in a good morning hug.

"Breakfast is almost done. Did you sleep well last night?" she asks after giving you a kiss on the cheek.

"Well....other than getting woken up by getting jumped on by someone that thought it would be funny to do so at 4:00 am, I slept fairly well." you say to her as she turns back to the stove.

"Oh come on (Y/N), it was hilarious. You woke up and had no clue what was going on! You should have seen the look on your face it was priceless and your laugh as you get tickled is so cute." she says laughing as she flips a pancake.

"Hey? Is...is that my hoodie?" you ask her.

"Maybe..." she says with a giggle, "it's just so comfy and it reminds me of you."

"First you tickle me awake at 4:00 am and now you take my hoodie? This calls for payback." you say as you start to tickle her.

"(Y/N)! Stop!" she says through laughter. You keep going on she starts to fight back. In mere seconds, the sound of laughter fills the kitchen as you two have misty eyes from laughing so hard. She tackles you to the floor and pulls you into a kiss to distract you from tickling her. You fall into the kiss...until you start to smell something. You pull away and take a deep breath.

"Hey Brig," you say as she sits up and straddles you stomach, "is uh...is something burning on the stove?" Her eyes go wide as shoots up and runs across the kitchen. You walk over and see her frantically flipping the pancakes and revealing the burnt side. You laugh hard as she face palms and turns to you.

"This is your fault. Now I have to remake the pancakes." she says as she gives you a playful punch on the shoulder. You continue to laugh as she restarts to make that portion of the breakfast feast. 

Post breakfast

On your second plate of food, you continue to chow down on the delicious breakfast that your Swede had prepared for the two of you. You look up from your plate and see her smiling at you.

"You have a little something on you face." she giggles as you wipe away the crumbs from you mouth. You sit back in your chair and push the plate away from in front of you.

"God that was delicious...even after that little incident that called for the remaking of part of the breakfast." She gives you a half smile and rolls her eyes at you. "So what is the plan for today?

"Hmmm...well it would be nice if we could go into town for a bit?" she suggests to you. "We have been training and working nonstop since we got back, so I think it would be nice if we explored around and see how the area has changed since we were last here." she says smiling. Seated opposite her you smile. The sun shown through the curtains and made her auburn hair glow as she sat smiling at you, her hazel eyes full of love.
