I sit at my desk, tapping my foot as I await the new music therapist to make her entrance. She has four minutes before I deem her late. On time is late and early is on time. It's just how it works. You shouldn't keep others waiting or show up "just on time" because that in itself was rude. If it meant anything to you, you'd show up early, correct?
If she's late, I will fire her before she even starts. I am a man of structure, and I take pride in this hospital. There is no way in hell I will damage this place's reputation by allowing someone who just does the bare minimum to work in this facility. Erwin will of course back my decision. "Doctor knows best."
The door slams open.
"I'm sorry I'm late!"
I look at the clock and smirk.

Not bad.
I look up from my laptop and unintentionally smirk. Melanie Quinlan, an old friend from my days at Harvard just happens to be our new soon to be musical therapist.
Melanie is, or at least was, a very serious person in regards to what she does. She looks more mature than when we went to college together and like me, she is a prodigy who didn't need to go to as much schooling as someone going for there doctorate will typically go for. Our professors referred to us as "the cream of the crop."
"Mel." I look her up and down.
"Levi." She adjusts her glasses with a slender, musically trained finger, her eyes studying me with an expression of amusement. Her left eye gleams as the blue portion catches the light, the brown of the rest of the iris and her right eye dark and scheming in comparison.
"I'm surprised you aren't dead." I smirk. "How old are you? I saw you my last few years if I'm correct.
"Twenty-three." Her choppy brunette bob shakes a little due to how expressive she is when speaking, the hair looking messy, but purposefully so. Maybe it is just bedhead. It's always hard to tell with her.
She's even younger than Jaeger, yet still closer in age, slightly. I stand up and start walking and she is quick on my heels, becoming my shadow.
"HELP ME!" A female patient is screaming bloody murder as she flails around, her long charcoal locks whipping the nurses that are trying to contain her. "HE'S COMING FOR ME! PLEASE, PLEASE! SOMEONE KILL ME!"
I stand and watch. "Shut her the fuck up before I get a headache."
"Doctor-"
"Just tranq her, I don't give a fuck!"
"Y-Yes, Doctor."
I pull the brunet out of the way of Marco who's running down the hallway with a torch, an actual burning torch. If his black gown with flames doesn't give it away, he's a pyro, a massive one.
"I feel like Jaeger's room might be calmer," I sigh.
"This place is pretty interesting."
I smirk. "Indeed it is."
-
"Oi! I'm back from getting goddamn milk. I didn't abandon you!" I call as I open the door to Eren's room. "Play nice."
