"This was too low a dose to completely incompasitate him, but he should be able to calm down now, enough that we can move him." Logan stated as he carefully put the syringe away. He had ran back to the pack house when he had seen Virgil wasn't calming down on his own and grabbed the first sedative he could find.

"Hey kiddo, can you hear me now?" Patton cooed gently.

"Yesh Ize can hear you." Virgil slurred in a daze. "That really fuckin shucked."

"Language!" Patton said even though he knew Virgil wasn't very coherent at the moment.

"Whoops sorry, Ize speakin english." At this point the medicine had made him loopy and delirious, the added effect of being completely exhausted didn’t help.  Virgil sat up from his spot on the ground and groaned. His body hurt from tensing so much and not even the medicine was able to take all the soreness away. He furrowed his brow, “Why’s I talkin so funny?”

“Cause, your high as a kite right now there babe.” Roman said almost smirking but not quite. Hearing your mate beg for death right in front of you and not being able to help tends to make you a little emotionally distraught and Roman was no exception. It took all of his will power and Patton holding him back to let Logan push that damn needle into Virgil, but it seemed to help… kinda.

“Don’t call me babe!” Virgil said pointing a finger at Roman childishly. “Ize not a babbi!” He then crossed his arms and pouted like a grumpy toddler. “I’m also not high. I’m on the ground. See Ize can touch it. If Ize was high couldn’ touch it. Logic!”

“Oh, geeze your really relaxed now aren’t you kiddo.” Patton said. They were glad that he wasn’t freeking out anymore, but they were all kinda worried Virgil would say or do something he would regret later. “How about we take you back now. So you can lay down and take a nap.”

Virgil head shot up from his pouting and looked at them, “No.” He said with a certain sober cadence that made them all freeze.

“But we are in the middle of the forest.”  Roman tried to reason.

“Ize not going with you. Yourse all crayze.” Virgil said. “You think I’m a dog or some shit and Ize not. So there. You are crayze and I am not stayin with crayze people. Plus I don’t like you,” He said pointing at Logan, “Your too pushy,” he said pointing at Patton and then pointing at Roman said, “and you…” he furrowed his brow trying to think of something to say, but his head supplying nothing but fuzzy thoughts. “You make me feel funny.” He said matter-of-factly. He decided it was time for him to go now. He clusimly tried to push himself off the ground. He unsteadily tried to step forward only to stagger.  He would have fallen to the ground if firm arms hadn’t wrapped around him. Electricity jolted through his body scaring him. He tried to struggle and pull away, but he was too weak to do anything in his current state. The arms moved around and scooped under Virgil’s legs maneuvering him into a princess carry. Virgil looked at his captor indignantly. Roman just smirked back at him.

“I don’t think you get a choice in the matter my sweet little damsel in distress.” Roman said tilting his head closer to Virgil inhaling his sent. Virgil got pissed very quickly and started trying to hit Roman. It didn’t work well. Roman rolled his eyes and looked at his two pack mates. “Let’s head back now.” They nodded and they all started walking back.

Virgil was flailing like a toddler having a tantrum, but having a more vulgar vocabulary. At some point during the walk Virgil tired himself out enough that he just reverted to pouting in Roman’s arms. Virgil despite his predicament was actually feeling pretty comfortable, and damn it Roman smelled really good. Virgil decided just one sniff couldn’t hurt. He leaned his head into the crook of Romans neck taking a deep breath.
