Later that night, Matt and I were waiting in the rain for Ben Ulrich outside of the New York Bulletin, his car was parked below us. He eventually exited the building then headed towards his car as Matt and I made our move. Matt took the one side and I took the other, Ben becomes startled and turned to see the both of us.
"We need to talk." I replied taking a small step towards him which he tensed up so I stopped in my spot as Matt mimicked my movements.
"Do you know who we are?" Matt asked Ben looked at him then back to me before turning around to pin his back to the car so he could see the both of us.
"Yeah...you both are the Devil and the Archer of Hell's Kitchen. But I think I prefer the Angel and Devil of Hell's Kitchen." Ben exclaimed with a mix of fear and determination in his voice.
"Do you believe that? What they are saying about us?" I wondered flexing my fingers against the grip of my bow watching the water dripped from his glasses.
"I believe that you are in the wrong place at the wrong time but I also heard other stories. How the man in the mask and archer help people, there is maybe more then one side to you both." Ben explained looking at the both of us as Matt tilted his head to detect anything off about him.
"We didn't kill the Russians." Matt started in which Ben turned his eyes to him as I took a step forward and he turned to me.
"And we didn't shoot those cops." I answered seeing Ben nod moving from his car to stand up straight in front of us.
"What do you both want?" Ben questioned in which Matt moved a step closer while his mask dripped from the rain.
"To help us reveal the real criminal...Fisk. He's the one who is responsible for destroying Hell's Kitchen." Matt exclaimed I felt the water drip from my hood to my cheeks as Ben sighed a small bit.
"With no evidence, I can't expose a ghost. No one will take their word for it since you both are considered terrorists." Ben reminded I felt my hand tighten on my bow again as Matt sensed my anger tilting his head to tell me to calm down.
"You can change that." Matt answered I exhaled softly then unclenched my grip from the bow but I still held it.
"Why me?" Ben asked I decided it was my turn to talk as I took another step forward seeing Ben looking over at me.
"There are some respectable people out there who trust him, we have faith in their judgment." I answered seeing Ben's expression change almost like he knew who we were talking about.
"Union Allied? That was you both? You were the ones who gave him that evidence with the guy?" Ben exclaimed Matt and I both nod to his question in which he gave a small smile to that.
"It's all connected to Fisk." Matt added Ben now stuffed his wet cold hands into his pockets while I laced my bow behind me.
"The woman you both saved is a good person, she believes that you both are heroes despite everything that has been said." Ben exclaimed I learned that was Karen who said those things from Matt earlier.
"People like her is the reason why we do this." I answered watching him nod lowering his face for a moment and then took a step towards us.
"If I was a smart and say no?" Ben asked Matt took another step until we were now inches from one another.
"Then we would have to stop him another way." Matt explained in which Ben's jaw locked with a bit of fear in his eyes.
"That sounds like you both are planning to put him down." Ben replied I moved closer now was close to touch him but I didn't.
"We aren't killers." I answered seeing Ben look over his shoulder to face me, his eyes stabbed into mine like he was trying to read me.
"That could change, couldn't it?" Ben reminded both Matt and I didn't answer him because in a way he could be right about that. We were already close to the edge, what would it take for us to completely fall over? "What information do you both have?"
"Bits in pieces. The Russians, Triads and the Yakzua's money is all being funneled by a man named Leland Owlsley." Matt began to explain which Ben snapped his head to look at him like he knew something.
"The Wall Street guy? How do you both know this?" Ben asked looking at Matt then looking over at me for an answer.
"How do you think?" I answered seeing Ben swallow sharply closing his eyes and shook his head at that thought.
"So you both got this from beating people up?" Ben asked I swallowed sharply tightening my posture firmly.
"Detective Blake told us before he was killed." I answered seeing Ben turn to fully face me now while Matt stood behind him.
"His partner Hoffman killed him, they worked for Fisk but Blake gave up Fisk to my partner before he died." Matt explained from behind Ben as Ben's eyes gave me a questioning look and I nodded to him to say it was true.
"Did you get it on tape? Have someone to corroborate what he said? I need reliable sources. Without them it won't put Fisk away." Ben pointed out Matt moved sideways until he was on Ben's left side.
"We don't need to put him away..." Matt answered as Ben turned to look at my partner for a moment confused by what he meant.
"We just need to drag him out into the light. Give him nowhere to hide." I added moving away from where I once stood and was now standing next to Matt.
"Once the city knows about him they will tear him apart." Matt finished nearly brushing his shoulder with my own but stayed facing forward.
"That is the guy at the top?" Ben asked the both us looking at Matt then me as I answered with a nod.
"We bet our lives on it." Matt exclaimed though Ben sighed sharply shifting his stance in the process before looking at us.
"And now you are betting mine." Ben reminded I knew this was going to be a huge risk for Ben to take especially with everything he had going on. I knew about his wife being sick in the hospital, she was someone that Fisk could use to hurt him. Ben then cleared his throat snapping me back to reality. "Tell me everything that you both know."
