After what happened the other night Matt and I decided to figure out a better plan to go after Fisk but today we had to be just Matt Murdock and Thea Archer. I got to work seeing that I had a new client waiting for me outside of my office.
"Can I help you ma'am?" I asked with a coffee in my hands as she showed me my card that she had in her hands and I allowed her into the office. She followed me to the chair while I sat across from her placing my hands together. "So...what can I do for you?"
"I think I am just being paranoid but for the last six months my husband has been distant, I rarely see him anymore. He makes excuses that he has to work late some nights or he has to go on weekly business trips. I think he has a girlfriend or at least he is sleeping with his secretary." She explained I nodded taking the notepad into my hands and clicked the pen with my thumb.
"Okay, so give me everything you can. Names...addresses." I replied she gave me her husbands name, the secretary's name and the name of his business. I also got the address too. I also received all of the so called addresses of the business meetings he said he was. "Okay Mrs. Ryan, I will look into everything and I will call you if I find anything."
"Thank you so much." She answered I nodded moving with her to the door allowing her to pass and as she headed down the hall I heard some argument happening in Matt's office. The voice was Matt and two others arguing about something in which I became curious so I moved to knock on there door. It went silent and the door open, a tall slender young woman was the one to answer. She had blonde hair with bright blue eyes as she looked at me with confusion.
"Can I help you?" the woman asked with a tilt head I smiled seeing Foggy and Matt standing behind her.
"Karen it's okay. She's my friend Thea. She works in the office next door." Matt exclaimed from behind her as she nodded moving away so I could walk in.
"I'm Karen Page..." she introduced I shook her hand when she gave it before she shut the door behind me. She and Foggy moved close together while I moved up to Matt seeing them not wanting to continue on the previous conversation.
"Are you guys trying to figure out how to take down Wilson Fisk?" I replied softly so we couldn't be overheard by any prying ears. Both Foggy and Karen's eyes both go wide that I knew of this stuff but I couldn't mention that I already knew about this. "Thin walls..."
"I have been trying to convince my partners to take the legal route." Matt explained in which a silent snort escaped from my lips, no one noticed but Matt whose expression twitch slightly.
"Well...I'm a private eye. If you guys need anything I am next door." I pointed out seeing the three of them nod as I moved to the door and headed back into my office without another word. I sat down in front of my laptop and began to research my client's information until I heard my office door open. My eyes lift to see Matt entering my office and moving towards me. "We need to pay Ben Ulrich a visit."
"The reporter? Okay..." I answered shutting the laptop standing and moving towards him as he caught my arm to stop me.
"Not as Thea or Matt." He exclaimed I realized that he meant as our vigilante counterparts before nodding him that I understood.
"I'll meet you at your apartment." I whispered he nods as he moved to the door and heads back to his office building.
