Hell's Kitchen, a city filled with crime causes the actions of two to restore order to the city. The man, Matt Murdock, a lawyer who was blinded as a child gaining superhuman senses and the woman, Thea Archer, a private investigator who is Matt's ch...
Matt and I both were waiting for the man on the other side of the walkie talkie to respond to us.
"You both and I have a lot in common." Fisk replied when disgust hit my throat and anger hit Matt's posture.
"We're nothing alike." I answered pressing Matt's hand down so I could respond hearing a small scoff and chuckle mixed together.
"That's what you both tell yourself." Fisk exclaimed my hand removed from Matt's as he pulled the walkie talkie to his face.
"You're feeding off this city like a cancer." Matt yelled in which I turned to look at Vladimir who was just laying there dazing into space.
"I want to save this city, like the both of you on a scale that matters." Fisk replied I scoffed hearing that answer which sounded like an excuse.
"Now tell that to the people you've hurt." Matt exclaimed giving me a hand signal as he pointed towards something and I nodded moving to it. When I looked down I saw it was a grate that Matt was trying to move earlier.
"Life is not a fairy tale...not everyone deserves a happy ending." Fisk replied I laced my fingers into the holes and tried to use my strength to pull it off except I wasn't at 100% right now.
"We are gonna find you and we are gonna make you pay for what you've done." Matt threatened though Fisk just laughed on the other side of the line.
"No you're not. Not that I don't admire what you both are trying to do to change the world with nothing but desire and hands. Secure in the knowledge that you both are doing the right thing, there only thing. That's something that I do understand but we three can't have what we want. This is where both of your parts come to an end." Fisk explained I gripped the metal holes then tried to lift the grate again but sadly it didn't budge.
"It's gonna take a lot more than a voice on an radio to stop us." Matt replied I eventually stood up taking the walkie from Matt who took his turn to lift the grate.
"It's not me you both need to worry about. It's the city you both just blew to hell out of." Fisk answered I saw Matt's head popped up looking over towards me and my eyes widened by the words.
"You think anyone's gonna believe that?" I asked him while Matt turned back to the grate and started to shift it slightly.
"You both are running around in masks, held up with a known felon in the wake of a series of bombings. There's also the police officer you both are holding hostage, so yes. But it doesn't have to be this way." Fisk began I lowered the walkie from my lips as Matt eventually stood up from where he was and moved over towards me. Fisk had something up his sleeve and he was about to tell us. "The Russian is he alive?" I turned to Vladimir pointing the walkie in his direction and gave him a nod.
"I'm still here, you fat shit!" Vladimir swore I felt a small smile pull on my lips for a moment then dropped again.
"Does that answer your question?" I asked hearing a soft groan come from Fisk which told me that didn't make him happy.
"This is a one time offer. You both killed the Russian and we'll call this night a push." Fisk offered I scoffed which Matt snatched the walkie from me as I moved towards Vladimir who was trying to grab something from the floor. My hand stepped onto his hand and removed the broken wood spike from his grasp tossing it away. "You both know what he's done to women to children. To the people of this city that you both claim to care about. But do you both know how much he enjoyed it?"
"You just confirmed how important he is. That must worry you, what he might tell us?" Matt answered hoping this would tempt Fisk's hand in any way but Fisk's laughter told a different answer.
"Which means he hasn't told you anything yet. You both are just children playing at being heroes." Fisk hissed I saw Matt lower the walkie for a moment mumbling a curse then lift it again.
"No we're not trying to be heroes. We are just two people that got fed up with men like you and we both decided to do something about it." Matt explained I was still bend down near Vladimir who touched my arm with his hand and I turned to look at him. Looking down I saw he was bleeding again from the wound I cauterized which means he ripped it open when we fell. Looking at him I showed him my fingers and he nodded which I lowered my hand pressing onto the wound again to hold off the blood.
"That is what makes you both dangerous. It's not the mask or the skills. It's the ideology. Two people who think they can make a difference. I'm glad we could talk, I respect both of your convictions even if it runs counter with my own." Fisk answered my eyes locked onto Vladimir who was looking paler than he was before.
"Yeah, keep telling yourself you've won. It'll make what we are gonna do to you so much more satisfying. If we fail others will take our place. They will see what we were trying to do and they'll make sure..." Matt replied Vladimir's hand touched mine again which was his way of saying he will hold off the bleeding until we got us out of here.
"No they won't. The city will burn you both in effigy. Both of your names, both of your very existence will be met with abhorrence and disgust." Fisk began when we both heard a commotion erupted from above as police invaded the building.
"What did you do?" Matt asked I moved up next to him while he scanned the building with his senses to count how many were here.
"What you both forced me to do...goodbye. I'm afraid we won't speak again." Fisk finished cutting the walkie talkie conversation, enraged Matt threw the walkie against the wall and it shattered.
