Chapter 19: I missed us

When Luke had dropped me off and given me a hug bye I happily walked to my house humming ''Happy'' by Pharrell Williams you know the usall happy song. I entered my house and my Mum came running into he hall. ''Was that Luke you came with where's Calum?'' She asked looking confused I slipped off my black vans and plonked my bag on the step answering her, ''Mum yea that was Luke because me and Calum broke up we just agreed that we worked better as friends and we are both fine and happy. Me and Luke are going out tonight to the movies and then McDonalds so I probably won't be back until around 10 ish so yea.'' I said taking my red flannel off as the weather was red hot and I was sweating. ''Woah that is a lot to take in first of all I am glad you and Calum worked it out second of all don't be too late because you have school tomorrow and then you have the party and the gig tomorrow night it is just lucky you have that training day on Friday or otherwise I don't think you guys would have been able to go the next day!'' She stated, I silently laughed and my Mum turned around and entered the living room.

I had finally got ready, I was wearing my light blue skinny jeans, my black ''Sleeping with Sirens'' t-shirt seen as it was so warm! I had rolled my jeans up at the bottom and wore my white converse, my hair was in a high pony and I added my red bandana, I had only applied foundation and a little bit of mascara keeping it natural. I grabbed my phone and bag and went downstairs, I heard a car pull up and sure enough it was Luke, quickly I hugged my Mum and Dad goodbye and headed out of the door. Luke saw me coming and his mouth dropped open but he quickly shut it again thinking I didn't see but I did. ''Well evening beautiful!'' He laughed as I got in the car. ''Evening handsome!'' I replied laughing he gave me a hug and set off the whole car journey was full of laughing and singing along to the radio I just felt so happy!! Once we had arrived at the Lighthouse Cinemas I got out of the car and started walking towards the entrance but before I got there Luke wrapped his arms around my waist bringing me closer to him. I giggled at him, I could feel his breath on the back of my neck. He pulled away and grabbed my hand, ''So you remember the money?'' Luke asked me, I nodded pulling out the needed amount and jokingly shaking it in his face. He laughed and bit the money. We walked in the Cinemas and I made my way over to the front desk to get tickets. ''Hello, how many tickets needed?'' Asked the man behing the desk.

''Two please and we are 16 years old so what age will that come under?'' I asked knowing that the price went up for each age. ''Well that would come under young adult so that will be $20.00 all together seen as they are 2 of you.'' I nodded rummaging through my bag for the money I know I had it but I just didn't want to not have enough for dinner. ''Hey let me pay half I feel awful making you pay for it all.'' Luke whispered in my ear I nodded and he took $10.00 from his pocket handing me the money and I pulled out my money from my bag and put the full $20.00 on the desk, the man happily took it and gave us 2 tickets. ''I paid for you back there you know!'' Luke laughed, I looked at him confused,

''But I thought we were paying for our own tickets?''

''Yea but I decided to pay for you so shhhh!'' He said placing his finger over my lips making me laugh. ''And I decided to pay for you so you shhhhh!'' I laughed copying his actions. He wrapped his arm around my shoulders and we walked into the cinema. We made our way right to the back, Luke sitting right at the end so I sat next to him shuffling closer. He wrapped his arm around my shoulders again bringing me closer, I looked up at him and he placed a gentle kiss on my forehead making me blush but it was dark so luckily he couldn't see.

The movie finished and me and Luke stood up walking out of the Cinema. We got in the car and Luke set off to McDonalds. He ordered a Big Mac and Regular Fries with a large pepsi for him and a Chicken Burger and Regular Fries with a large pepsi for me. I handed him the money as I was paying and he set off driving again. ''Luke where are we going?'' I asked looking at him. ''Somewhere special.'' I turned to face the window and I couldn't help the big smile that spread across my face. Anywhere with Luke was special..... ''We're here!'' Luke said hopping out of the car with the McDonalds in his hands. I stepped out of the car and looked at my surroundings but nothing was familiar to me. ''Follow me.'' Luke said grabbing hold of my hand and leading me through a field. We went through flowers and many bushes it felt like we were miles away but in reality I could still see the car. ''We have arrived.'' Luke told me, I looked around it was The Wood the one will always visit when we are at school. ''Luke how did you know we could access it from here?'' I asked pleased with where we were. ''Ashleigh I discovered this place I know every single way of entering it.'' He laughed placing the McDonalds on the familiarised bench and motioning me to sit next to him so I was facing him. I devoured most of my chips and was now eating my burger the same time as Luke. ''So why did you decide to bring me here?'' I asked giving him a serious face but I couldn't stay serious so I ended up laughing and so did he. ''I decided to bring you here because it was where we both first found out that we had so much in common, it is where we have shared some of our most special and funniest memories and I guess I missed sharing them moments with you when you was with Cal....I missed us.'' He said looking down a big smile grew on my face and he saw me and smirked. ''I missed us two Luke....'' I admitted plonking my burger down in the box and shutting the box.

''You done?'' Luke asked and I nodded.

''Sit on my lap.'' Luke said patting his legs, I got up and sat on his lap snuggling into him. ''So did you have fun tonight?'' He asked me leaning his chin on my head. ''Yea I really did we should have done this sooner.'' I said and he pulled me away so I was facing him. ''I should have met you sooner.'' He said, I giggled and he smiled again why does he always smile when I giggle or laugh? ''Why do you always smile when I giggle or laugh?'' I asked giggling again. ''Because I think's it's cute like you.'' He said gently tapping me on the nose. ''Hey should we head back?'' I asked looking up at the dark sky. ''Yea come on I'm frezzing.'' Luke laughed, I nodded standing up Luke grabbed my hand and once again after a long time intertwined our fingers, I looked down and smiled. I felt a rain drop fall on my head and I gasped as the coldness hit me. ''Oh-oh!'' Luke laughed taking of his flannel and placing it over both our heads, I laughed as we ran over the field heading straight for the car, Luke turning on the heating straight away. ''Hey your freezing!'' Luke noticed turning up the heating it wasn't doing too much help but I let him do it because I thought it was cute he worried about me. ''Hey one minute I always keep a blanket in the back incase we go on long car journeys and the boys get cold, let me go grab it quickly!'' He remembered jumping out of the car back into the rain again I was gonna stop him but it was too late. He ran back into the car and wrapped it around my shoulders, he was shivering too so I opened it up and covered both of us, it was pretty big! ''Thanks babe!'' He was back to calling me babe again which I liked. ''No problem.'' I looked at him and he smiled. He leaned closer and gently kissed my cheek. ''I have missed you even though it has only been like 6 days.'' He laughed and I pecked him on the cheek and replied. ''I have missed you too!''

''Come on let's head back to yours I am sure your Mum will be worried if you are late back.''

''But I want to stay with you!'' I whined he grabbed my hand and squeezed it.

''And I want to stay with you Ashleigh but I will see you tomorrow.'' He reminded me, I nodded and did my best puppy dog face looking down. He looked at me then looked away. ''Don't look at me like that you make me feel bad how about tomorrow I come for you at 6:00 and we go back to mine and have pancakes?'' I excitedly nodded and he laughed. ''Do you have Golden Syrup?'' I asked, he laughed and nodded setting off to my house.

When we pulled up he pulled me towards him and brought me into a massive hug I put my head on the crook of his neck and he leaned his chin on my head. ''I'll see you tomorrow yea?'' I pulled away and nodded he kissed my cheek and I exited the car giving a small wave. All the way down the path to my house I had the biggest grin ever on my face and it felt like my stomach was doing backflips and summersaults....

A/N: I know I haven't updated in ages and I feel so bad. So first of all Wattpad isn't working probably so I couldn't get on to My Works, then my laptop shut down on my deleting all my work, then I finally wrote it again and I couldn't finish and finally today I have uploaded it...phew!! Sorry I know my Authors Notes are usally in bold but there is something wrong with Wattpad and it doesn't give me that option anymore so sorry and hopefully I will have another update up by Thursday but it is hard because I have school work and everything so..... So sorry about the late update but I hope you enjoyed this very cute chapter:) Luv ya's xxx
