Chapter 16: Nando's

A/N: This is going to be a pretty long chapter so enjoy:) xx

It was the night I was going to Nando's with Calum I couldn't wait I mean food and spending time with Calum what isn't there to like about that?! I looked through my wardrobe bored with the same old hairstyles and jeans. I pulled out my black Nirvana top and started humming 'Smells Like Teen Spirt'. I then decided on a pair of navy blue skinny jeans rolling them up at the bottom. I threw my red flannel shirt on and looked at myself in the mirrow I smiled and applied some foundation, mascara and some light red lipstick. I left my hair down letting the brown newly dip dyed blonde hair to fall freely and then applied a white flower crown to finish the look, I was quite happy with what I was wearing maybe I should wear this morw often? I picked up my brown satchel and my iPhone and slipped it into my jean pocket. There was a knock at the door and obviously my Mum answered it. I rushed down so Calum could avoid the awkwardness. ''Oh hello you must be Calum, Ashleigh won't be- oh here she is now.'' My Mum said stopping as I appeared at the bottom of the stairs my Mum left giving me a small wave goodbye and me and Calum were just stood there, ''Woah!'' Was all that escaped his mouth as he stood there looking at me my face was getting redder I just knew it... ''You look good!'' He said holding out his hand for me to take. ''Thanks so do you.'' I said nudging him sligtly as we walked up the garden path heading towards the car...wait car? ''I didn't know you could drive?'' I asked confused looking at him, ''I can't but Ash can...''

We arrived at Nando's and we walked in, we got taken to our seats and both sat down and picked up the menu, I felt my menu being lowered down so I couldn't see what I was reading it was Calum pulling it away from my face. ''I am really glad we can just hang out like this Ashleigh without no loud noises from them lot!'' He laughed so I giggled,

''Yea but ya gotta love 'em.'' He smiled and was about to say something when we were interupted by a face that slapped me the other day... Danielle! ''Well, well, well if it isn't Calum and one of the wicked or might I say ugly whitches!'' Danielle laughed flicking her blonde straight hair over her back, to be honest I know this sounds mean but if I were her I would've kept it where it was to hide her face! (A/N: I laughed at my joke even though it was probably lame haha) ''Don't talk about her like that!'' Calum defended but she just laughed, ''So it looks like you ditched poor Lukey then?'' She asked folding her arms to make her look like even more of a diva. ''No I haven't ditched him me and Calum have just come to have dinner as friends if you must know me and Luke are best friends and always will be!''  I stated looking over at Calum and he smiled grabbing my hand that was resting on the table. ''Oh well that's nice but soon Lukey will be wanting me not you so have fun on your date!'' She shouted walking off before I could say anything wow that girl is one bitch! ''Hey you alright?'' Calum asked me playing with my fingers, ''Yea I'm fine I don't know why I let her get to me she is no one yet I still let her say things to me and get away with it cause I am so soft!'' I said wiping away a tear that had escaped my eye Calum reached over and wiped it away, ''Hey do you want to go back I don't mind if you do because to be honest with you I haven't seen anything I like on the menu anyway.'' He whispered, ''Yea me neither let's go!'' I whispered back and he laughed so we got up and walked out of the resturant but we got stopped by one of the people that work there. ''Why are you leaving so early you haven't even had a drink?'' She asked Calum laughed nervously and came up with an excuse, ''Oh yea well something happened and I need to get home.'' He lied the girl nodded and we headed for the door.

As we reached the car we laughed because Ash was playing Panic! At The Disco 'This Is Gospel' loud and singing along to it he stopped when he noticed us two getting in. ''Oh why back so early?'' He asked leaning over the car seat to speak to us, ''Danielle made an appearance and there was nothing on the menu I wanted.'' Calum told Ash he nodded not saying anymore and set off from the car park.

Not long after we had arrived back at my house and Calum was coming in with me and we were just going to hang out in my bedroom and listen to music. I opened the door and my Mum came rushing into the hall stopping in her tracks when she saw Calum. ''Why are you back so early and why is Calum here?'' She asked, I rollled my eyes whilst taking off my shoes and Calum took his shoes off. ''Well Nando's didn't have much too offer so we are just going up to my room and listen to music.'' I informed my Mum she nodded and smiled allowing us past giving me a small wink as I walked pass her I sighed and rolled my eyes. She quickly went back into the living room Calum took my hand in his and I looked down and smiled... We reached my room and I plonked myself on the bed, Calum following my actions looking around the bedroom and smiling at the posters. ''Nice choice of posters you got there Ashleigh!'' He complemented me I laughed and he took both my hands in his and began to face me. ''Can I tell you something?'' He asked I nodded so he carried on,

''Over these past few weeks I feel as if we have grown closer and tonight I guess I just wanted to spend time with you, you are always there for me when I need you and I think I like you well I know I like you.'' He blurted out and I was shocked I didn't know what to say, the thing is I like him too I mean yea we have grown closer since I met him 3 weeks ago and I am glad I met him. ''Calum... I mean I like you too I am shocked you like me back!'' I said he looked up at me his big brown eyes widened, ''Well then what you wanna do about it?'' Calum asked lacing our fingers together. ''I...I think we could try ya know us its up to you?'' I asked my hands were shaking in Calum's but luckily he couldn't tell he looked up at me and nodded a 'yes' a big grin spread acorss my face and we hugged. ''Yea I think we could try us.'' He said I looked up at him and he hit me we were together now!!!
