A few weeks have passed. I am now 15 weeks,4 months, and hardly showing. Me and Peeta have both shared our concerns with Dr.Henderson, but he says that its OK and I'll catch up...I worry that he's hiding something from me.
Peeta and I still haven't told anyone yet but he finally got me to agree. We start with Haymitch.
"Your what!" Haymitch exclaims choking on his beer.
"She's pregnant," Peeta says.
He chuckles, "Finally knocked up the mockinglay."
I am about to yell at him for calling me that, but I am interrupted by a sharp sudden pain in my back and lower stomach that causes me to double over in pain.A groan escapes from me.
"Katniss!" Peeta yells and rushes towards me, Haymitch by his side.
"Whats wrong with her?!" Haymitch yells at Peeta.
"I don't know?! " He says in a panicked tone. "Ugh.. call Dr.Henderson!"
"Why don't you do it?" Haymitch spats.
"Haymitch!"
"Peeta! -" I tune them out, after that. I lay on the floor in Withering in pain, while the two most important men in my life...argue like children.
I manage to get up and make my way to the bathroom. Sadly unnoticed. I pull my pants and underwear down to find some thing I never want to see again.
Blood...Blood on my underwear and in the toilet. Not a little but not a lot either. I call for Peeta and he is in here before I can even finish saying his name. I tell him to call Dr.Henderson and to drive me to the hospital.
The drive to the hospital was the longest drive in my life. When we got there I was covered in sweat and tears. But the pain was like when Johanna hit me with coil back in the 75th games, except it was constant dull pain that didn't stop.
When I was admitted into the hospital I was given medication for pain shortly after my doctor meets us here. He examines me and says the the 4 words no pregnant woman deserves to here.
"Katniss... your having a miscarriage."
