The fire crackles beside you as you lay on the ground staring at the sky.
Athena: Why do I have to keep watch if you're just going to stay awake?
You: They're looking for us.
Athena: So why do I have to keep watch if you're just going to stay awake?
You: It'll be easier if we're both awake.
Athena: You're being a real prick.
You: Fuck you Athena.
Athena: I didn't know she was alive.
You: Of course, because you aren't allowed to say you know. They're using you to give me someone to trust.
Athena: Ares... I did not know. I promise.
You: I thought she was dead... For five months.
Athena: It's better you think that. You can't escape.
You: I know.
Athena: What do you wanna do?
You: What do you mean?
Athena: Find another group or comeback empty handed?
You: Rat them out.
Athena: Are you sure?
You: I told them to pack up.
Athena: Ok.
There's some rustling in the trees surrounding you. You stand up and look towards the noise. Your chains have been untangled and hang from your arms and legs again. They may be for looking scary, but they're good weapons.
Unknown: Lower your weapons and raise your hands.
You look around and can't see anyone. There could be a lot. You look at Athena who is frantically looking around with her pistol in hand. You nod to her. She squints her eyes but listens anyways. You both raise your hands.
Men and women come out of the darkness and surround you.
Javier: We don't want to hurt you.
You turn around to see Javier looking at you.
You: Then leave us alone.
Javier: You're going to report to your leader. We can't do that.
You: I told the one-legged girl to pack up and leave.
Javier: Cut that crap out. You know her name.
Athena: If we don't come back, you're screwed.
Javier: You should really let Y/N do the talking.
Athena: So that's your name.
You: Look Javier, pack up and leave. Go somewhere far away from here.
Javier: Come with us.
You: No.
Javier: Please.
You: I can't.
Javier: Clementine hasn't been the same.
You: I physically cannot come with you.
Javier: We can make you.
You: Then you'll kill me.
A few people move towards you and you swing one of your chains at them. It doesn't hit them, but it spooks them enough to keep their distance.
Javier: Y/N.
You: I am Ares! Now leave or we will make you.
Athena quickly pulls out a knife from her side, ready to fight.
Javier: Clementine's going to be really sad when you don't come back.
You: She knew I wouldn't.
There's a tense silence for a few seconds before Javier breaks it.
Javier: Let's head back.
The people slowly walk away from you two.
Athena: Can I go to sleep now.
You: No, I stayed watch last time we stayed the night outside.
Athena growls.
You: Get over it.
Athena: Whatever.
------------------------
As you fall asleep you open your eyes in the field again. The large hill covered in gravestones stands in front of you.
You: Haven't had one of these in a while.
Clem: Guess that things useless.
Clementine's evil twin stands behind you. She points up at the gravestone sitting atop the hill.
You: Yeah.
Clem: You know I was kind of surprised when you didn't go crazy.
You: Too distracted, I guess.
You hear a crumbling noise from behind you and turn around to see Clementine's gravestone collapsing and the rubble rolling down the hill.
Clem: You know, I'm supposed to be mean, but you're doing my job.
You: What?
Clem: I'm supposed to tempt you to do bad things. You're doing that on your own. So, I'm going to do your job. Go be with Clem.
You: No.
Clem: Why not?
You: I can't. Not unless, I kill the Olympians.
Clem: Do it.
You: I can't just do that.
Clem: And why not?
You: Have you not seen Herakles?
Clem: Oh, I have. Last time I checked; a lot of muscle doesn't protect your body from a bullet.
You: I can't fight them all by myself.
Clem: Athena.
You: Doubt she would help.
Clem: You guys are like brother and sister.
You: She wouldn't help.
Clem: Holy FUCK you're being pessimistic.
You: Shut up.
