Landon

I came downstairs after showering and dressing. I walked into the kitchen, and Quinn handed me a protein shake. I drank it, then Asher took me out back and made me run. I ended up puking. Asher laughed.

That started the process of my recovery. First, your body withdraws from the drugs; then, you have to work at getting health, follow with maintaining sobriety. I had to fight to get my life back.

Asher worked me relentlessly, and I yelled at him.

"Come on, Landon! Don't puss out on me!" Asher yelled as I worked.

"Screw you!" I snapped as I moved a rock.

"Don't let Rafe win! Show him that he can't win!" Asher yelled.

I screamed as I pushed. Quinn watched us. Asher taught me how to fight, using every part of my body. He made me swim in the lake and run on the beach.

"Keep going!" Asher yelled as I wanted to give up.

Then I felt someone push me. I turned to see Quinn.

"Keep going, Landon. Don't quit," Quinn told me as I kept going. Every time I wanted to give up, Quinn and Asher kept me moving. Sometimes you need the right people to push and support you.

I finished my workout and sat down on the sand. Asher sat down on my left as Quinn sat down on my right side. I stared at the water as Quinn slid her hand into mine. I looked at her and smiled. She leaned her head on my shoulder.

Today sucked, but I had help.

*******
Vincent

I made my way to the agency and entered the building with Cruz. I wanted answers. I'm an impatient man, and my patience wore thin when it came to my children in trouble.

A girl met me as I walked to Sergio's office. "Can I help you?" The girl asked me.

"Yes, you can get out of my way," I ordered as the girl stepped aside for us to pass.

I found Sergio's office and walked in to find Sergio at his desk. He looked at me.

"Where's my son?" I questioned.

Sergio stood. "Landon is safe," Sergio told me.

"I'm a man of little patience. Where is my son?" I asked again.

"Vincent, your son is safe," Sergio answered.

That was it. I picked up a chair, throwing it through a glass window, alerting other agents. I lunged are Sergio as Cruz held me back.

"Your excuses tires me. Now, where the fuck is my son?" I barked as Santino showed up at the office.

"I told you, Landon's safe," Sergio repeated himself.

I pushed Cruz off me and turned to Santino. "I gave you a second chance, and you lied to me. If someone doesn't tell me where my son is, you will not like me," I warned.

"Vincent," someone said.

I turned to see Joe standing there.

"Sergio and Santino can't tell you where Landon is. If they do, it will lead Rafe to Landon," Joe told me.

"The best thing you can do is wait. Rafe is smart. He knows what your weakness is," Sergio said, walking towards me.

"Then you tell his mother who wants our boy," I said.

"Yes, tell me why you're keeping my son from me," Lacey said, standing there. Everyone looked at Lacey as she walked into the office. "I'm curious to know how I carried a child for nine months fell into the clutches of a monster."
