Vincent
Lacey and I watched the ambulance pull away with Landon. We watched as the paramedics wheeled a guy to an ambulance, then saw Cruz walked over to them, handing them a girl.
"Mr. Powers?" An officer asked.
I looked at the officer.
"We have someone in custody," the officer informed me.
Lacey and I followed the officer to the squad car and saw a woman sitting in the back seat with red hair.
"Do you recognize the woman?" The officer asked me.
"No," I answered, confused.
Cruz walked over to us and looked at the woman in the car. He looked at us, and I shook my head.
"Flame?" We heard a voice say.
We turned around to see the girl who Cruz carried you the ambulance. She walked over to the police car.
"What in the world?" The girl asked, surprised.
The woman looked at the other female.
"I found out that bastard tested HIV positive and lied to me. I couldn't let him infect other people," the girl in the police car said.
"Did you test positive?" The girl asked the other girl.
"I found out a few days ago. I allowed Rafe to screw me without protection. It's my stupid fault. Now, I will never have a family or a life, but I don't regret my choice. I'm glad the bastard's dead," the girl said, surprising us.
"That sounds like a confession to me," the officer announced, getting into the police car and leaving.
Cruz looked at the girl standing there. "Quinn?" Cruz asked.
"Hey, Cruz," Quinn greeted him.
"Do you know each other?" I asked.
"Yeah, and you know Quinn, considering she spent most of the time at your house with Lexie," Cruz reminded me.
I looked at the woman and remembered what she looked like when she was younger. She walked over to us.
"It's been a long time," Quinn mentioned.
"Yes, it has," I said.
"I joined the academy and became a federal agent. I work with Santino," Quinn informed us.
"That's good news. It thrills us that you chose a good path," Lacey mentioned.
"Yeah, but there's a slight problem," Quinn mentioned.
"What's that?" Lacey asked.
"I'm in love with your son," Quinn answered, surprising us. Quinn cringed as I shook my head.
Lacey gave me a look, and I gave her one back.
"Don't look at me like that," I said.
"I know you, Vincent. Do not control who our son loves," Lacey warned me.
I gave Lacey a skeptic look.
"I mean it or no honey dust for you," Lacey threaten.
My expression changed. "That's a dirty move," I spoke through gritted teeth.
"Yeah, but it's an effective one. You taught me that," Lacey said, smirking, then patted my chest and walking away.
I groaned as I followed Lacey to go to the hospital. I swear my wife will be the death of me.
