Sergio

I received a call about an explosion at headquarters. Joe and I went to check it out. We pulled up, and I got out of the car.

"Santino!" I yelled, making my way past first responders, looking for my son.

I found Santino sitting on a stretcher in the back of an ambulance as paramedics attended to him.

"Santino," I said.

"Papá," Santino said, noticing me.

I climbed into the back of the ambulance. I reached and put my hands on Santino's head as I kissed the top of his head.

"You are resilient like your old man," I reasoned, waving my finger at Santino.

"A few scrapes, cuts, and bruises, but I'm okay. They want us to get checked out at the hospital," Santino told me.

"Si, I will contact Lexie and inform her," I added.

I climbed out of the back of the ambulance as they paramedic climbed out while the second paramedic stayed in the end. The paramedic closed the door and took Santino to the hospital.

"How's Santino?" Joe asked.

"Santino is hearty. He's like his papa in that aspect," I replied.

I looked at headquarters as the firefighters worked to extinguish the flames. We would consider this an act of terrorism but was the work of one person.

"Agent Antonia, Santino wanted me to give you this," a field agent said, handing me a USB stick.

"Gracias," I answered.

The agent nodded and walked away. I held the USB at my fingertips. We went to the car, and I called Lexie, giving her the information on Santino. Joe and I went to the FBI headquarters to check out the USB drive.

Vincent

I sat on the couch as Lacey sat next to me.

"You should have heard how angry Landon is," I said, rubbing my face. "How did I let it get to this point?"

"Because you can't control everything in your life. Vincent, you know that you can't control people," Lacey reasoned.

I lowered my hands. "I don't want to control Landon," I said, looking at Lacey.

"You sent Landon to school for business," Lacey mentioned with a knowing look.

I looked at Lacey, unamused.

"Vincent, you say you don't control people, but you do that with the kids. You sent Santino away," Lacey reminded me.

"I corrected that and gained a son-in-law," I retorted.

"You sent Landon to business school, and he became a dancer," Lacey said.

"Without my knowledge," I reasoned.

"You made Valeria a mini-version of you," Lacey added, with a knowing look.

I arched an eyebrow at Lacey.

"The point I'm making is that you can't control everyone. Did you not learn anything from me?" Lacey questioned.

I groaned. I didn't need this now.

"You can sit here all-day and question situations, but it doesn't matter. Landon made a conscious decision and is paying the price for it," Lacey reasoned.

"How are you not more upset about this?" I questioned Lacey with a curious look.

"Because I know you're a man of your word. You will return Landon to us," Lacey reasoned.

My lips curled into a slight smile as I looked at Lacey. She smirked at me.

In a week, I will retrieve Landon and bring him home. I refuse to allow anyone to stand in my way.

Landon

I sat on the couch and ran my hand through my hair. I said things in the heat of the moment, letting my temper flare. I pictured my conversation with my dad differently.

Quinn sat down in front of me on the coffee table. "Here," she said, handing me a cup of tea.

"Thanks," I replied, taking the cup from Quinn.

"Landon, your dad worries about you," Quinn said.

"I know, and I allowed my anger to best me," I responded.

"But your dad can't fault you for your feelings. It's how you felt all these years," Quinn reasoned.

"It's not my dad," I admitted, looking into Quinn's face. "It's me. I never said anything because I was afraid of acknowledging my feelings, then it makes you vulnerable. It terrifies me."

Quinn reached for my hands, taking them into hers. "There is nothing wrong with vulnerability or fear. It keeps us grounded and makes us human. It's part of our emotions, but so is love. I had a chance to look at your parent's file. Both came from broken homes, looking for one thing - a family. Your dad risked his life for your mom. If that isn't loved, I don't know what is," Quinn told me.

"Is that why you got close to me?" I questioned.

"I remember this fifteen-year-old boy who saw me and not my upbringing. When you showed up with Tyler, I knew it was a matter of time before you fell subject to time the pitfalls of the dancers. Landon, I had two people who rescue me from a bad situation. The same two people who love you and your family. I owe them and my heart to rescue you," Quinn answered.

"I never forgot about you when you left. I couldn't," I said.

Quinn let go of my hands and placed her hands on my face, leaning in and kissing me. I reached and put my hands on her face, kissing her back. I pulled her to me as I deepened the kiss. I picked her up and carried her upstairs to the bedroom.

When we hit the room, I closed the door with my foot and carried Quinn to the bed. We removed our clothes as we made love. I went slow with Quinn, wanting to feel every inch of her. I moved my hands into her hands, interlocking our fingers as I pushed her hands above her head.

I thrust into Quinn slowly as she wrapped her legs around me. Our lips never left each other as we rocked together in slow, sensual motion. Feeling her body against my body, making it better. I released her hands as I rolled her on top of me as we continued. I ran my hands up her bareback, gently as we moved together until we hit our peak and exploded in ecstasy.

I looked up at Quinn as she looked at me and smiled. I pulled her lips to mine as we made love again. I could not get enough of Quinn. Afterward, I laid on my back as Quinn slept peacefully on my chest. I had an arm wrapped around Quinn, gliding my fingertip along her arm. I propped my head on my other arm and looked out the window.

My brows furrowed as I slid out from under Quinn quietly. I pulled on a pair of boxer briefs and walked over to the window - the moonlit the night sky as I noticed a shadowy figure in the distance.

I felt a hand touch my back, startling me. I jumped as I turned to Quinn, who stood there, looking at me.

"What's wrong?" Quinn asked me with concern.

I glanced back at the window to see the figure gone. I turned and looked at Quinn.

"Nothing," I said.

"Are you sure?" Quinn asked.

"Yeah, let's go back to bed," I suggested.

Quinn took my hand and led me back to bed. I crawled in next to her and she cuddled into me. I looked at the window and wondered if someone was watching us. I had a feeling the person was.
